Welcome to The Merwin House! A tranquil and secluded home for families and groups between Hunter (15mins) & Windham (10mins) mountains.

- Patio has multiple seating options, grill, comfy loungers, and picnic table.
- Instacart delivers groceries to this location and there are other grocery options within 10 minutes.
- Pack n play and high chair for babies available.

Security:
- We require guests to sign a renter's agreement which will be sent upon booking.
- We've partnered with Know Your Guest, the leading vacation rental guest-screening provider through which you will need to verify your details and ID before arriving.
- You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver.
- In the winter, we strongly advise that you bring a car with snow tires and all wheel drive. Please very drive slowly in the driveway to avoid slipping.

Note: this is a peaceful area where sound carries. Family fun outside is TOTALLY OK and encouraged. However adults screaming, loud profanity, or loud music outdoors is very disruptive to our neighbors - they will complain. No pickleball after 7:30pm.

The house was overall a great experience for us! It's a great property, with a great yard and amenities, and nicely secluded while being quite close to a quaint little downtown with a surprising amount to do. The views from the deck are absolutely gorgeous. Grilling out for the group with that view was no problem. All of the rooms were nice and clean, and very comfortable. Our only real complaint would be that not all rooms have direct air conditioning, and so can be quite warm in the summer. Fans are provided, and the cool nights we had helped as well. Overall a great find and worth the price.

House was huge and excellent overall! Great view of the mountains! 7 bedrooms total. Lots of space and house is updated and fresh. Beds were very comfortable with lots of spare linens and blankets provided. Hot tub was clean and hot. There were mini-split heat pumps installed in the colder spaces. TVs on every floor. Two Full Kitchens were very stocked, with the exception of pepper and cooking oil as expected. One issue in the house was low water pressure, which was worse when multilpe showers were running. Dish soap, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, bath soap, shampoo and conditioner, paper towels, and toilet paper were all stocked. You might bring extra of these if you need a lot. We found we needed extra garbage bags after a couple days. No facial tissues or lotion provided. Tons of kids toys, kids board games, big bean bags, games in garage, also a high chair and two pack n plays, etc. - this is a great house if you have kids of all ages in your group! Even kids eating utensils and dishes are available. Another note that the basement bedrooms were quite noisy from foot traffic above. Had trouble consistently starting one of the dishwashers on the main level but still cleaned well. It was a little slick getting to the house in fresh snow without snow tires, but everything had been recently plowed too. Overall, our entire group loved this house and we would definitely come back! Thank you for a wonderful experience and letting us stay in your mountain home!
