Fireplace didn't work. Messaged owner absolutely nothing done to fix it. Internet went out right after getting there. Owner Messaged me to unplug router, that didn't work. No internet the entire time we were there. Dead roaches in the basement. When I messaged owner about this she basically called me a liar and said they sprayed for bugs. Yes, thats why they were dead. Entire outside of house smelled of sewage. Obviously, a septic tank is overflowing. As we were leaving one of the guys sat on the corner of the bed and the particle board slat on the platform bed broke. I messaged the owner immediately. This infurated her and she made baseless claims that several things were damaged in the house. She was not there and we had JUST left the house. I asked for proof and pictures. None were provided. There was ZERO damage to this house other that one slat on a bed. We left this house clean and exactly how we found it. Listing states it is pet friendly, it is indeed not pet friendly as we brought our small dog and the owner was very upset we had a dog in the house. Listing also states there is public lake access, there is not. There are signs everywhere for renters to stay away. There are many beautiful homes to rent on Nolin Lake, I would HIGHLY recommend renting one of those and not having to deal with these horrible, rude owners. We are a group of 60 yr old professionals that were treated like 19 yr old party animals. Stay away!

We take tremendous pride in maintaining our lake house and providing our guests with a clean, comfortable, and well maintained property. This is reflected in our consistent 10/10 star reviews. Unfortunately, this guest stay was a very disappointing experience for us. After their departure, we discovered significant issues that went well beyond normal wear and tear. We are pet friendly and just ask for a disclosure and a fee up front. But this renter brought TWO dogs without disclosing and left urine that had to be professionally cleaned. The bed frame and slats were broken and had to be replaced. And a toilet seat left broken. Communication throughout the stay was glowing and we reached out to them when we noticed the internet had gone down. This renter texted not to worry about it because they were enjoying a technology free stay and didn’t attempt to reboot the internet as he stated in his review. Our cleaning crew plugged the internet in immediately and has been working perfectly. It is clear these renters didn’t want outside security cameras to pick up on the dogs. When asked if we could send someone to fix the outdoor fireplace he replied not to worry about it because they wouldn’t be at the house. I have receipts from consistent bug control and have never had a problem mentioned from renters or cleaning crew about bugs in the home. We stay there too and are very picky about that. We appreciate honest feedback and always strive to make improvements. However, we believe future guests deserve to know that this particular stay resulted in significant property damage and violation of our rental policies. Again, this renter provided glowing communication until we discovered the damage and that they had dogs at the time of their departure. And VRBO has documentation of not only the positive experience the renters were communicating, but also have pictures of the damage discovered upon departure. The septic smell was never brought tonourbattention during this stay. We have looked into this and there is no smell or overflow. Lake access is under maintenance by core of engineers until a tree gets removed. We have enjoyed amazing renters over the last 3 years and look forward to many more in our meticulously maintained home :)

Spacious and upscale!

The cabin, location and communication could not have been better. Top notch for everything from kitchen items to bedding!!! Just as advertised only better. 5 couples, tons of space! Would be even better in the summer months. Great place to stay!

Kitchen was well equipped. No cleaning supplies found. We would have brought some had we known. I like to make sure i can clean things as i go while staying places. Not much yard area to use. Home was beautifully decorated.

Perfect home

This VRBO was absolutely perfect for our family. The layout comfortably accommodated 3 adult couples and 6 children with proper bedroom/bathrooms and open floor plan. It was immaculate and came as advertised. It is located close to the caverns and hiking trails with just a short drive. Awesome place

What a great place for our family Xmas vacation!! The house was perfect for our group of 8 ranging in ages from 28 to 85. The house was spotless and the host had welcoming water and snacks out. The furnishings are very nice and home beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. We had plenty of hot water. These are the things most important to us.Mother Nature even provided a morning of snow! The host provides very good directions to the house. Once through the gate it is a short drive on what I call a country road. Not bad at all just not fully paved. Hope we get to visit again!

4th of July Weekend

This home is absolutely beautiful! We really enjoyed spending the 4th on the lake. Quite, secluded location which is exactly what we were looking for. Dianna was an excellent host and very responsive, even when my little ones left their toiletry bag in the upstairs bathroom. She was kind enough to have returned back to us. Nice place

Quiet area, clean house. Very comfortable. All furnishings are new and the house was set up well. The only thing i would mention is our group all have trucks which made parking an issue. The parking is very limited and not much area to turn around. Overall, our stay was great.

Family Get Away

The house was great for my brothers and our families. We had three families that included a total of 6 kids. The house was great and worked well. The host was available with any questions and answered quickly. The house was amazing!!! It was spacious enough we had our own space but close enough we could be together as well. The location was great too. It was close enough to the attractions but away from the hustle and bustle. We were able to cook dinner a couple nights there and go out a couple of nights as well. I would highly recommend a stay at this location. Great for all ages and room enough for multiple families.

Dreamy Lakehouse

We just spent 4 nights/5 days at this beautiful house on Nolin Lake for new years. From the minute we stepped foot in the house, we knew this was an elevated rental. The pictures don't do justice to how nice the furnishings are. Plus the kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, Tupperware and cookie sheets. The pantry even included a few spices. We had 8 people total including 3 kids ranging in age from 13 down to 6. There was enough space for everyone to spread out and have their own space if needed but they mostly hung out and played the fully loaded switch. The beds were so comfortable and everyone had their own bathroom so no-one was on top of each other. Love our time here and ready to steal some decorating ideas from this house too! We will definitely be back soon.

Amazing Lake Cabin for our Family’s Thanksgiving Break

We rented the house from Dianna for a trip over Thanksgiving 2023 that included my parents, my family (4 kids), my sister and brother’s family (2 kids). This was the perfect location. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of it all, but located in an area that has several nice houses (Clee’s point) and is a short trip to a gas station/conveinent store if you needed anything. I had messaged the owner to see if there were any plans to spruce up the cabin for the holidays and boy did she deliver!! My children gasped as they arrived with a beautifully decorated tree and glowing mantle above the fireplace. Our weather was cold and a tad rainy which made the deck a tad too chilly to stay out for any long periods of time, but the furniture and seating arrangements looked awesome for nights that you don’t see your own breath! The bedrooms were the perfect accommodations with 3 king beds for the adults and the children occupying both twin rooms. We worked puzzles, played games, cooked way too much food and enjoyed the coziness of being all together. At times, when the kids got a little bored of all the relaxing they ventured downstairs to hang out playing Wii while we relaxed upstairs or even escaped to bed early (the beds were comfy). The boys tried to go fishing, but didn’t last long. the walk to the dock is very steep and is paved, but then turns into a path that unfortunately had been dampened to mud by our much needed rainfall. Overall it was a great trip!

The home was decorated beautifully with everything we needed. Even kayaks! A highchair, gates and baby pool were available for the 13 month old in our group. Dianna was very quick to respond to questions. This was our first experience with Nolin Lake and we were not aware of how steep the lake access would be ( not just this house, but all around the lake ) One way to get my legs more toned!!Bring your binoculars because the birdwatching from the porch is fantastic!
