My Worst VRBO Experience by Far!!!
Where to start...3 hours before our arrival time I got a message from our host that the property we had rented was under construction and was unavailable. He said he had access to some other properties that could be substituted and sent links that did not work. As we were three hours away I sent many messages and phone calls to the property manager - none of which were answered. Not knowing what to do we drove directly to the original property where I found a construction worker who could contact the property owner. We eventually ended up at one of the other properties that was comparable to what we had originally rented (however, it did not have enough towels, sheets, or dishes in the kitchen for the 8 it was supposedly able to hold. The floor and toilet were quite dirty as well. When it came time for bed we used the air mattress that came with the property but it had a hole in it and deflated quickly to leave my daughter laying on a hard, concrete basement floor. I messaged the property owner during the night and he said we would take care of it the following day...however...he did not. After a second night with the air mattress with the hole he said it would be taken care of early the next morning. Not only was it not taken care of, the owner never responded to any other messages I sent. I've never had an experience like this with any property I've rented from VRBO but I would steer clear of any properties offered from this owner.
