Going back to school vacation
I took my kids to Galveston before they had to go back to school. We visited the 2 most pretentious hotels on the island. We have fun regardless of where we go. But I'm pretty sure we stayed at the nicest place on the island. The pool is the same size as a football field. It is designed beautifully and was nothing short of awesome. We spent most of our time on the Lazy River. It was regarded highly enough for the kids to want to be in it several times each day. The unit was posh. We were all highly impressed and comfortable. Nobody was ready to leave on our departure day. We enjoyed the other vacationers there and the lack of riff raff. The kids asked me to promise a return visit. A simple request would be to check in at three versus the present four o'clock standard. Usually the personnel in nice places make it a point to welcome guests warmly. This is not a complaint...merely a thought. I was excited to spend a few amazing days with my kids before they began the next school grind. Staying here made it as perfect as I'd hoped to imagine.
