This kind of house and location are absolutely amazing, and it cannot get much better than this. The house is sunny, bright, beautifully and happily decorated made perfectly for your vacation. It has two living rooms, a full kitchen, out door grill and dining table, pool table, ping pong table & a putting green

- The house is in an upscale neighborhood super close to the beach and tourist destinations
- Upon enter through the front door, you will see a soaring high ceiling, with the huge first living room on your right. The living room has a 70 inches television and a pool table for your enjoyment. To the left you will find the first bedroom with attached full bathroom and it's own TV
- Continue toward the rear of the house you will find the full kitchen with a large second living room with a 65 inches TV.
- In the back yard, this home has a outdoor dining table, a grill set, and putting green for enjoyment.
- Inside the garage, you will find a ping pong table for entertainment
- When you get to second floor, you will find a huge master bedroom with a huge attached bathroom and a TV.

The house is nice but somewhat worn and a little dated. However, my daughter and her husband woke up to find bed bugs in one of the upstairs rooms. We left after packing up and found a hotel. I asked the host for a refund of the second night and after several weeks of them telling me it was being "investigated" they told me there were no bed bugs and they would not give a refund. I have photos of the bedbugs. I would caution anyone who considers this house not to stay there.

Here’s a balanced one that keeps your 8/10 vibe and gives Ella credit without hiding the cleanliness issue:The house has a lot of potential and the location was great for our stay. Unfortunately, when we checked in, the home had not been properly cleaned. There were used towels left in the bathroom, sand/dirt in the bathtubs and on the bedding, and several areas that clearly needed more attention.That said, Ella was very responsive once I reached out and made a genuine effort to resolve the situation. She offered to send a cleaner the next morning and also provided a partial refund of the cleaning fee, which I felt was fair and appreciated.As a fellow short-term rental owner, I think with better attention to cleaning and some basic maintenance, this could easily be a much stronger property. Overall, I’d give the stay around an 8/10 largely because of Ella’s communication, responsiveness, and willingness to make things right.

Check in was easy, property is mostly as described. However, there was no communication upon arriving into property, within minutes of arrival, we found ants throughout the house, in bedrooms and when I messaged owner, there was no response. I had to go buy ant spray at nearby Albertsons. Checkout was listed as 11am, and at 10 the cleaning crew was parked outside property, house is large for group but dated. The master bedroom shower had a large rust stain going down from shower head, some of the rugs were dirty/dated. We made it work but I would not recommend this property to others. Normally, we get checkout instructions from owner for rentals, there was nothing from owner on checkout day. Poor communication and customer service.

This place has a lot of space, which is nice, but I would not recommend. It backed up to a very noisy street that made it hard to sleep. The air conditioning doesn’t work in the master bedroom. We went to Knotts Berry Farm one day and when we came home around 10pm we saw someone’s car parked in the driveway. Apparently the owners just parks his car there sometime. The beds were also pretty old and uncomfortable. I would not stay there again.

Overall, this is a decent accommodation for a couple of nights. For the cost, I expected better. First the positives: The location is very convenient—close to restaurants and beach—and somewhat walkable, although there are busy streets. The house is spacious and sunny, with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. We chose the house because it welcomes well behaved pets. The host was very timely with communication, and check in was a breeze. Now the negatives: you probably won’t notice in the photos, but the outside “lawn” area is covered with old faded astroturf, not grass. In general, the place gives a worn-around-the-edges impression. Check-in is quite late (4pm) and early check in (when available) is billed hourly. There was no coffee supplied (first time I’ve experienced this!) and (as we were notified in the check-in instructions) there are no hand towels or wash cloths. If you plan to cook, the cookware is quite worn. If you need a convenient, roomy place in HB to stay with pets, with clean beds & bathrooms, this house fits the bill.

Ella Homes is a predatory property management company and I would advise anyone to never rent from anything from them. My family was evacuated due to the GNK chemical explosion threat in Garden Grove. I have a young son and two vulnerable elderly parents at home. I booked this property on Sunday May 24th before there was any clarity on if and when we could return home. On Monday 25th county and state officials gave us the clear to return home. I contacted Ella homes regarding a refund or a partial payment and was pointed back to VRBO. VRBO's support pointed me back to Ella Homes. The VRBO support rep contacted the Ella Homes representative directly who refused to help in any way, citing policy despite me explaining my extraordinary circumstances. On top of this, they originally told me they could not cancel my rental with a refund and then changed their story to offer me cancellation with no refund after I repeatedly explained my situation, and a partial refund in the event someone rented this property. I have chat receipts on this platform and screenshots of all this as evidence. I also reached out to their listed email address on their website and never received a reply. If you are looking for a rental look for LITERALLY anyone else and do not deal with Ella Homes. They take advantage of situations, are not helpful, and will not work with you should a problem come up.

Unclean house

We had to contact property manager to figure out how to get in house 2 hours prior. She did not contact us as host. House was nice layout but filthy and in disrepair… broken cabinets/mirror. Kitchen was dirty and we had to clean before use. Floor was dirty by evidence of black bare feet once walked on. Owner or manager put a car in garage while we were out and didn’t tell us thus we couldn’t use garage. Throw rugs needed laundry. I and my family members do not recommend this place. Good location to beach, but they need to clean up their act!!
