Overall the stay was comfortable and quiet.
It needed a bathroom downstairs and the sink in the bathroom upstairs was clogged and had very poor water pressure.
Spacious unit in a convenient location. The front bedroom was a little loud due to the busy road but we used the fan on the AC to help with the noise. The bedrooms in the back were quite a bit more quiet (2 Twins/ 1 Full). Off Street parking was great. Kitchen was moderately equipped. Bring your own coffee, etc. Smelled slighly of a past smoker but was overall clean and tidy. FP not in use. Great game selection!
While it is close to the Burlington airport and ski resorts and the downtown area, it is on a busy street with loud traffic. The house is old but charming. The only bathroom is on the second floor and the stairs are steep.

Apartment in Colchester
When we arrived, after a 5 hour drive, we were not able to check in because the cleaning crew was still cleaning. We ended up not being able to check in until 4:30pm. The place is located close to a *busy* (ie "noisy") street, next to a junk yard and across from a mechanic shop with large dogs that bark at you whenever you're outside. The place was fairly clean; except the dirty towels in the bathroom, the toilet wouldnt stop running, the screens were disgusting and thats for the bedrooms that even had screens. One of the bedrooms has no screen in it at all so the window can't be opened (safely OR without letting in ALL the bugs). The kitchen had all the amenities you could possibly need. The back yard is a good size, just a few metal, dainty chairs out there. Also, the yard is shared with whomever else is staying at the house that's split into apartments.

Confusion about unit, rooms, etc
From the get-go there was confusion about the number of bedrooms. Got that sorted out over a couple of weeks to arrive and not a single picture was of the unit we were in.
Nice place with charm and character, but some things to be aware of: steep stairs, and bathroom and bedrooms are upstairs; the place was clean, but seemed to have been unoccupied for a while and not thoroughly cleaned recently - dishes dusty in cabinets, dead bugs on counters, etc.; single cup coffee maker seemed odd for 3 bdrm, but the never worked; hair dryer was listed as amenity, but never found it.
Graduation weekend, so prices inflated, but owner and property manager awareness lacking.

Tired house
The experience could be improved by the following items. First the walkway to the house starts about 15 feet in on the grass from the parking lot. It is not expensive to put gravel and stone from the parking area to the house... the steps to the house had weeds growing in the cracks- we pulled them to use the steps. There were bird droppings on the concrete entrance way. Secondly the house smells musty, like a very old house. I am not sure if this can be remedied but future renters should be aware in case of allergies or sensitives to smells. The kitchen countertops are Formica and are delaminating, an easy fix from Home Depot, and the hardwood floors are really worn. The house has no air conditioning, and the twin bedroom did not have a screen, so we could not open the window. This should be fixed as soon as possible with warmer weather coming. The front, larger bedroom, faces the road and there is considerable road noise from cars. There is one bathroom and the tiles in the shower need a good cleaning with bleach. Mold growing on the grout and the caulking. The house could be improved with some inexpensive upgrades and a good cleaning. I would call this a very tired house with a rating of 2 stars.
The rental agency was good to work with and I am not sure if they are aware of the condition of the house.
