Everything was top notch! Super clean and well appointed with a spectacular view over Mallets Bay, this was a wonderful place to have as a home base while exploring the area. Check in was a breeze and the hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. The spiral staircase down to the lower level bedroom may be a challenge for those with limited mobility but we had no problems with it. The bedroom on the main floor is easily accessed. WiFi and television worked perfectly, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the beds were fresh and comfortable. We would definitely stay again!
This property has an amazing view. sits right on the water over looking the boats. Would stay again. brand new adirondack chairs by water which is a nice touch. outdoor blackstone to use.
Had a wonderful Christmas week stay! Enjoyed the changing views over the lake including a beautiful sunrise and after a fresh snowfall. The heater worked great, beds were comfortable and the amenities were complete.
Lovely place and a perfect size for our family of four and dogs. The view from this house is spectacular that we wished we came in the summer but, for a nice family getaway it was a gem. Stephanie was amazing she was great at communicating with us and let us stay an extra night since a snowstorm was incoming the day we were going to leave. Can not recommend this place enough.
This was the most beautiful vacation I have ever had. Mallets Bay and the Harbor View Lakehouse was exactly what I was dreaming of.
Thank you to Stephanie
Stephanie was wonderful and very welcoming to our little family. The property was easily accessible to Burlington-15 min drive to everywhere, maximum. Easy access to the Causeway and great nearby food. The road next to the property is busy, but you don't notice it. Loved waking up everyday to the stellar view and cozy atmosphere.
The home was beautiful with a great view of the bay. Stephanie was responsive and a gracious host. Would love the opportunity to stay here again in the summer. Highly recommend
Gorgeous location, saw 3 hot air balloons over the water upon arrival, foliage was beautiful. Close to biking on the causeway and an easy drive to Shelburne Museum. Wished we had more time as there are so many great things to do.
Very cute and clean stay outside of downtown Burlington. The beds were both very comfortable, and we appreciated the provided amenities. It was a quick 10-15 minute drive to downtown Burlington and 40th minutes to Waterbury (Ben and Jerry’s). I would stay here again and hope to bring my pup next time!
Great cottage/lakehouse. Very clean, well stocked. Stephanie was wonderful and extremely responsive to all our needs. Great property if you have a boat. Highly recommend !
Very nice property. Great location for the things we do there. If it was my place I'd ditch the round table and chairs. Replace with 2 comfortable chairs and another coffee table. Overall its a great property and i would recommend to others.
This property was just as lovely as it looks in the pictures! The views on the lake were perfect- sunrise and sunset were breathtaking from both the living area and master bedroom. We were close to Burlington and the causeway for biking. Kayaks were accessible and the kids loved it! Would come again!

The only dislike was the busy road right next to home which isnt something fixable. Cars day and night made it somewhat hard to sleep.
Everything else was GREAT!!
View was amazing and Stephanie was great at providing suggestions for things to do. Another chair to two in the main living space would he an improvement.
Lovely view, wonderfully appointed house. It’s very close to the road which wouldn’t have been a problem but the night construction was bright and loud. Earplugs and using the basement bedroom helped a lot ! I would not hesitate to rent this lovely home again. I will though check to make sure no construction is scheduled. I’m sure it was a one time thing.
This was our second stay at this property. First-time, it was covered in snow and ice and we loved it. This time it was summer and loved it again. My wife and I came up from Pensacola, FL to work on our daughters nearby house and just don’t think we could find a finer place to stay. Very well equipped, great views, comfortable, and convenient to grocery stores and restaurants. Our next trip will most likely be based again on the availability of this property.
Great stay close to the bike trail across the causeway and bike ferry. This is a beautiful ride water on both sides some wild wind. The cottage was beautiful, clean and tight on the water. It had a wonderful view of the mountains and sailboats. My 93 year old mom enjoyed the house. It was spotless with comfortable beds. It is on a busy road so if your a light sleeper pick the very quiet room downstairs. It was nice to have kyaks available.
A beautiful setting on the lake. This cottage is located to many hiking and interesting places to visit. We were able to easily travel to a variety of hiking spots and lakes. Essex spa is close enough, as is the beautiful town of Burlington. We were able to take a ferry to NY Lake Placid too. I would defintly recommend this property. Our group was some friends from high school that reunited in our 60s. We stayed here 10 days.

About the host
Hosted by Stephanie Chicoine
My husband and I are native Vermonters. We have owned a Dock Service Company for 12 years. While he is out working on the water, I take care of the office work, yardwork, tenants, Airbnb, and dog walking! You'll probably see me walking by with our dog/pony Ruger!
Why they chose this property
We purchased this property from a dear friend who owned it for 30+ years. An older man who was retiring from the Dock business and ready to give us the opportunity to expand and to love these buildings and marina up!
What makes this property unique
Year round beauty. Marina.
