Outdoorsman's Paradise was just that...very communicative host, clean, organized and a well supplied and roomy house. Sizable deck and great yard. For us anglers, the fishing was very easy to get to in the back yard and the trout cooperated. And just down the road was the fun Trout Run Hotel for a beer and steak. What more can you ask for?

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Listing accuracy
House needs a lot of tlc musty smell from basement was horrible. Truck noise on 14 hardly makes this a serene experience
Fun place to stay. Superb communications with the owner. Very clean multi-level house. Nicely decorated. Large kitchen with breakfast area. The view of the river was beautiful as well as relaxing. Plenty of kitchenware available. The front of the house is close to the road. However, as I slept in he back bedroom any passing traffic overnight just sounded like distant thunder. It would be a pleasure to stay here again, especially with a good book.
What a cute little place on the edge of the wilderness. The creek is amazing, my dog loved swimming and running along the bank and so did I. Do take caution at the highway entrance and remember to take in the views at the nearby parks.
Wonderful and peaceful stay. My husband and I love fishing and being in the outdoors. The creek is amazing fishing and so quiet. Will be booking again :)
The house was comfortable. The owner was helpful and responsive. The creek was a nice spot but just be aware that you do have to walk a short distance down a path to get there. The road noise kept me up a bit but overall it was a nice private place that I would recommend.
The house had everything we needed and more. It is located near Reptiland, the Hiawatha Riverboat, Pine Creek Gorge, and other family friendly attractions. There were plenty of places to eat out. The ice cream shop around the corner was a favorite stop. The kids loved the arcade but the real treasure was the scenic creek just steps away. It was the perfect location for kayaking and fishing with newbies.
The location was very close to the water which is something the pup loves. The backyard was big enough for the 3 dogs and a great place to relax. Loved both the upper deck and lower deck. Would recommend very highly
The property was even better than the listing. Lycoming creek is right in the back yard and we had a great time fishing, relaxing by the fire pit and playing cards in the evening. Had the mandatory dinner at the turkey ranch and spent most of our time on the local creeks. Some highway noise during the day, but quiets right down in the evening. Loved the place and will return. Highly recommend. Very family and pet friendly. Also only a 20 minute drive to major stores
The host is super chill and easy to communicate with. The others in my party all were impressed with the comfortable beds and accommodations as well as the cleanliness of the property. The creek is perfect for cooling off and long range stone skimming. Much appreciation to the host for this offering.
Hated that I had to cut it but the host allowed me to re-book. Very helpful and understanding.
The house was beautiful, clean well stocked, and the views and scenery spectacular
Francis was great and answered all our questions to make sure we were all set for our little getaway.
Once there, we had a friendly care taker next door that offered us privacy, but also gave us some insight to all the activities available to us. We were surprised by traffic, but once in the back of the home with a little music you would have never known you were right beside the road.
Definitely recommend and want to stay again in the future!
The property was as described in the details. The extras provided (kayaks, tubes, wood for the fire pit) were a really nice touch, and the kitchen was well stocked with just about everything you could need. As mentioned by other reviewers, the noise from the road was more than expected, but was not bothersome when sleeping. Our dogs had a blast in playing in the creek and the well kept yard, and I appreciated the deck space for reading or sitting in the sun.I believe the addition of a picnic table would be a great idea for days when dining outside is possible as there is adequate space available. The hosts were very communicative and friendly to work with. We would definitely consider staying here again in the future! Thanks for having us!
