This was amazing and the whole group kept commenting about how wonderful it was!! I did want to let you know that there are a couple of things that are broken. We put a chair that doesn’t have nuts on it anymore out in the garage so nobody would sit on it and get hurt and the shower in the master bedroom and in the downstairs by the wrapping room, I think both had the same problem with the adjustment for the heat was stripped. Everybody that we communicated with was a lovely and prompt and it was just an amazing amazing experience. Thank you so much.
This house is exactly what we were expecting and more. We had a large group and we had plenty of space for everyone. The location is gorgeous and quiet with plenty of things to do. We will definitely stay again.
As good or even better than the description and pictures of the castle. We had a fabulous time and it will be memories that my family and friends will fondly look back upon for years to come. The only disappointment was we had to leave. Will be on our list of favorite places to stay and we certainly will be back.
We enjoyed our time in the Castle. We had 12 people and it worked great. Kitchen worked well, and we ate on the patio. The lake has been drained and that was disappointing. The lighting controls were confusing, and we never could figure out the AC. I’m sure that might have been user error. The house and plumbing fixtures are dated. We had to verify our payment as the management company said we had a large balance, thank goodness we had our email receipts. I’ve never had that happen before on VRBO. All in all great trip. Wonderful house, and responsive host.
With a home name like "The Castle" The bar is pretty high, both from the perspective of grandiosity but also from the perspective of comfort of all the guests and I have to say the house delivered in spades on all fronts. Comfortably slept. 20 people, was an absolute joy and bonding time that will never forget and we can't wait to come back. One of the easiest recommendations I could make in Flagstaff
While the home was lovely and large and memorable, we were told that our punch list of issues with the house and a complete renovation were going to be commencing immediately after our stay. The property manager was understanding and compensated us fairly.

Love the house!
Love this house!
The reason why I'm giving it 4 stars though was because the heat wasn't working that well in the house, it was extremely cold. And one bedroom downstairs has plumbing issues- the shower didn't drain right and the toilet barely flushed. Other than that it was a lovely vacation home.
Very satisfied with this VRBO. the Smart House features weren't too difficult to figure out. High end cookware and features throughout home. The grounds were a dream and afforded a lot of snow play areas. Being able to park every vehicle in our party inside the massive garage was a blessing. Also, they snow plowed for us to be able to exit the property safely. We will visit again.... very satisfied with this 'castle'....and a totally accurate description. we even brought our king crowns and queen crowns...made for some fun photo props!
Not for the technically challenged. For a smart house, it was a revelation. It couldn’t make up its mind on lighting or cooling. Hallways and bathrooms had motion-sensing lighting, kitchen needs that option. For space and location it was great. It is a house that could be wonderful after it transitions.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Brewster Castle over the holidays. We had a large group of 20 people (children & adults) and the house had plenty of space to accommodate us all. The house has 6 beds and sleeps 12, comfortably. The rest of our group slept on air mattresses provided by the house. Although not ideal, the sleeping arrangements worked out. The Brewster Castle has a great location for an adventurous family like ours. We did day trips to Sedona, Grand Canyon, Snowbowl Ski Resort and it's just a 10 minute car ride to downtown Flagstaff. When we had a question, Tom was just one phone call/text away. He is very responsive. We highly recommend the Brewster Castle to all future visitors.
I had been trying to find a quiet and relaxing place for a long weekend getaway and this property did not disappoint! It's close to town but serene and quiet! The house itself is fantastic; it's just as beautiful in person as it is in the pictures! It was clean and inviting with fresh flowers in several of the rooms. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with appliances, cookware, utensils etc. The various functionalities of the house (smart lighting system, gas fireplaces, speaker system etc.) were explained in detail in the check-in email. Communication with the host was great. We had no problems during our stay but there was an issue with the freezer prior to our arrival that the host notified me about and remedied prior to our arrival. We loved staying in such a remarkable property and can't wait to go back!
The house was perfect for all 12 of us. There is plenty of space to have some privacy if you wanted to be away from the group. The kitchen was awesome and there were plenty of pots, pans, cutting boards, and anything else.
We travel with a large container of things that we typically see missing or does not work well in VRBO rental. We did not need to open that container at this house, this was a first for us!!
We loved the music that was able to be played through the house. There are plenty of TV's for everyone. Dining room table sat all of us with no issue. The laundry room was fantastic. This is always great when staying for extended period of time. There were plenty of towels and hand towels. The rooms were plenty big for all.
The Elk herd came out a few times essentially in the backyard. We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year at the house. We loved it and would stay again. Oh and the garage was spacious for all the vehicles.
Great house with very nice memories!

Castle - Was More like a Hassle
Beautiful on the outside but has so much deferred maintenance and things that didn't work. This place has no window coverings on the bedroom windows. If you like your privacy, this may not be for you. This was our worst experience ever at a VBRO property. Everyone in our group was either impacted by the lights that stayed on all night outside during the night with no window blinds or broken items or the high tech light system. There were lights that didn't go on and lights that didn't go off. Good luck trying to get a good nights rest here in its current condition. Too many problems to list.
We were compensated for the poor experience, however it is unfortunate the property owner didn't do the repairs to make this place acceptable. It is also under construction in one part of the space.

Spacious Home for Time with Our Family
The space itself was wonderful! I have a big family and needed to accommodate a lot of people. The house worked well for our group of 15. We enjoyed everything, indoors and out. Nice to have choices of various things to do and places to hang out: relax in the jacuzzi, play wiffle ball in the back yard, make S'mores around the fire pit, cook on patio or in the great kitchen, play pool in the family room, rest in a room with a fabulous view, or lounge in one of several living areas. The house is in an upscale community but feels like a private setting surrounded by the beauty of pine trees. When we arrived, there were roses in the kitchen and in each bedroom as well. My reasons for giving only four stars: housekeeping and amenities. The floors were swept but not thoroughly mopped. Also, the towels should be better quality and more in quantity--not just one bath towel per person when you're staying for four days. It's especially important to replace hand towels daily when they are used by many. There's ample space for storing additional towels and linens but we couldn't find any extras, so we washed and reused. One bed had no sheets at all--unacceptable. Only one dish towel in the kitchen, too, and very little hand soap in bathrooms or kitchen. I would stay again after communicating with the owner to make sure housekeeping was improved. After all, the cleaning fee is hefty.
This property was unbelievable! From the moment we pulled in the driveway we were in awe! The garage was a great spot for our family to shoot hoops, run around/play ball with the little ones and burn off that energy in fresh air! The kitchen was amazing - massive variety of pots, pans, kitchen essentials, small appliances etc. We found the extra coffe cups under the left side of the stove, so a general diagram with what's in each area/ drawer might help to view beforehand so you know what to bring. We brought our own coffee and filters - Everything was great- the oven cooked pot pies perfectly. The microwaves came in handy for hot chocolate and popcorn ;). *The only item we didn't find was skewers for S'mores at the phenomenal fire pit so we improvised and it was an awesome adventure!!! The hot tub was a great hit as was the upstairs master shower- jets galore and great water pressure. One thing to figure out is which lights are automatic and where the switches are for the rest. Best to do when you arrive in daylight and remember where they are at 10pm to turn back on. (all noted in the arrival directions). The upstairs is handicap accessible(my mom can't do stairs with her cane) if you come in through the garage to kitchen. The master bed however was too high for her to get in so a lower mattress would help in that room if they want to be accessible on the first level. Slept our group of 14. A HUGE beverage fridge plus oversize fridge/freezer - best fresh air! 1000/10!!

Over priced because of many issues
We had a nice time being together with family. We expected to be very impressed. The castle is nice, but there were a lot of issues. Everything should be in working order to be charged this amount. Here is a list of the issues we had to deal with.
The washer machine did not spin and the clothes were soaking wet when the cleaning cycle ended.
The dryer door did not stay closed. We had to prop a vacuum cleaner against the door to keep the door closed. The dryer did not dry in one cycle. We had to restart the dryer a few times to get the clothes dried and so we were only able to do that one load of laundry.
The coffee maker in the kitchen did not work correctly. It overflowed all over.
The refrigerator door had a seal coming off making it difficult to open and close the door.
The coffee grinder was missing pieces and we could not grind our coffee.
The double drawer dishwasher leaked out onto the floor. We could not use it.
The back door did not have a handle on the outside and the inside handle was broken (this is the door near the pool table).
We could see where some chairs in the kitchen were repaired and dried glue was dripped all over the chair.
All four twin beds were unable to be slept in. Very uncomfortable for adults and children.
The bedroom with the queen beds, had one bed with a broken frame. The person who slept there felt like the bed was going to break and fall to the floor whenever they moved. The headboard was missing pieces.
The one bathroom door did not lock.
The front door would blow open and not latch if it was not locked.
Poor quality of cleaning. The house was dusty with cobwebs and Dirty windows.
This home had some nice qualities, but when paying this much money to stay the issues we faced should not have happened.
