Beautiful house and grounds. Out in the country, where the night sky is visible and quiet area. Make sure you note down the check in instructions aheas of time, becauae you need to wifi for internet coverage.
We enjoyed our stay even though it was only 1 night. Communication with host was excellent. Will definitely check to see if available when we're in the area again!
It was a very comfortable stay with a beautiful view with complete privacy. Communication was great with questions answered in a timely manner. Would recommend.
A great place to get away from it "all". No traffic or neighbor noise. The inside is Texas style and is furnished with up to date appliances, the most comfortable chairs to watch tv ,has wi-fi, etc,.and so much more . The wife and I will book another stay next year as we liked it so much.
Lovely little double wide with completely redone interior. Lovely decor, had everything we could need, and was located on 5 wooded acres. We took a short hike and enjoyed listening to nothing but birds and the breeze. Very private and clean, we will stay again!
This property is well maintained and in a peaceful and beautiful setting. So relaxing just to sit and enjoy nature. The mattresses are comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers. The livingroom furniture is quite comfortable-perfect for conversation. Good directions, easy check in and out, pleasant interactions with the owner.
If you are looking for a beautiful and peaceful place to stay this is your spot. My family and I stayed for the weekend. Our boys 15, 12, and 7 love exploring the woods. We wanted quality time with our boys with no electronics and this was the perfect place for that. The host was very helpful and polite. We hope to stay again in the future.
This home has a real cabin in the woods feel. Rustic, but with modern touches. It could have been warmer overnight into the morning, but overall very cozy. The bed that we used was comfortable, water in the shower was instantly hot with good pressure, and the kitchen functed well. It was a delight to roam around the property, and though it was cloudy for most of our stay, we were able to see a spectacular view of the night sky without any light pollution. Wayne was a gracious host and accommodated all our needs.
Mr. Arnold was communicative and helpful from start to finish. That alone was worth the 5 star review. Now - to the home, it was so quaint and perfect for my family. My "city boys" enjoyed the wooded area and joyfully explored the marked trails near the home. After that, we enjoyed a comfortable night playing games inside and and the calmness of the pitch black night. The shower pressure was amazing and the onsite amenities were very appreciated. Everything was clean, beautifully decorated, and didn't feel like I was away from home. I already recommended this place to my family members who were in town for our family reunion for future stays!
My friend and I stayed here for 5 nights and it worked out perfect for what we needed. I think the price point was great and you get sooo much more for the price vs staying in a hotel. We had easy access to Bastrop where we needed to be each day. The beds were a little springy, but other than that, no major complaints. The host left very clear details/instructions and was great about communicating. I loved waking up to deer in the yard every day. I'd have no problem staying there again.
The property was very cute. My brother and I were very comfortable, and the cabin provided everything we needed, There was even a plus that we had not expected. Every morning, we saw deer grazing in the front yard.
We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this beautiful home, and it exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The space was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and perfectly cozy. The host was exceptional, responsive, kind, and clearly care deeply about creating a great experience for their guests. Every detail was considered, from “EVERYTHING” well-stocked to the comfy beds and soft linens. If you’re looking for a relaxing, magical retreat in nature with all the comforts of home (and more), this is it. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already dreaming about our next visit. Highly recommend!
Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. We stayed for a month with absolutely no complaints.Deer roam the property, our shepherd loved exploring! All the necessities were provided. At night, the stargazing was spectacular. It was very pleasant and Wayne was delightful.Looking forward to a return visit!
