Yellowstone/Dubois Private Cabin on the Wind River
Private 14-acre small ranch located in the heart of Wyoming cowboy country. The cabin and acreage are located on the Wind River with exclusive private access to fly-fishing. Use the cabin as home-base to visit Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. There are beautiful views from every side of the cabin--enjoy the spectacular sunrises over the Badlands, and a sunset dropping into the Jackson Valley. There are two comfortable bedrooms and one bathroom with a full washer and dryer, perfect for a small family. There is a large screen TV with satellite television and Apple TV and wireless internet. Kitchen is fully equipped for even the most gourmet meals. Enjoy packing the picnic basket if you would like to have a picnic nearby.
The outside wrap-around deck allows for sunrise and sunset viewing, with the endless horizon and mountains as your view. Outdoor eating, Wine and Cheese, or coffee mornings are just some of the wonderful things to be enjoyed in the privacy of the grounds.
Horses and stables nearby, private barn for painting, writing, etc., (Just ask for access). The cabin is newly built, extremely clean, and very comfortable. Luxury linens and towels, and bathroom amenities provided. Check the reviews from our delighted guests!
Dubois is located in a valley between the Absaroka and Wind River mountain ranges. The rustic log buildings that line the main street look much as they did when the town was first settled in the late 1800's.
Native Americans, fur traders, homesteaders, outlaws, and tie hacks are all part of the area's diverse cultural heritage. Legendary outlaw Butch Cassidy even spent a fall and winter living near Dubois.
The area is home to the largest herd of bighorn sheep in the lower 48 states. Several thousand elk winter around Dubois, and watchful visitors can easily spot mule deer and moose.
A varied selection of special events is part of the Dubois experience. Beginning with Winterfest in February, there's something happening almost every month. Dubois' Headwaters Center is home to a national juried art show in July. Beginning in June, a family–oriented rodeo and a chuckwagon dinner are held weekly. The Sheep Center and Dubois Museum offer free weekly interpretive programs.
Many delightful restaurants, art shops, and breathtaking scenery abound.

Frequently asked questions
About the host
Hosted by Julie

We are a family of five located in Southern California. This property is for us to enjoy the great outdoors, and to get away from the busy lifestyle in SoCal. We enjoy fly-fishing, rafting on the Wind River, hiking, and horseback riding. This is a slice of heaven and must be seen to be enjoyed.
Why they chose this property
Our cabin is secluded and private. From the back porch you can watch the wildlife, the sunset, the moon rise, and see billions of stars in the clear sky. Walk to your private stretch of the Wind River to hear the water rushing by, or just relax on the bank flyfishing or reading.
What makes this property unique
Living how the West was in the late 1800's! All the comforts of a modern, very clean cabin, yet representative of a great part of our American history.
