You will love this new 4,000 square foot custom built vacation home, which sits on one acre lake view lot with forest park land all around it. The views are from all sides of the house and are truly breathtaking. The house is just around the corner from the Nevada side of Heavenly Valley Ski Resort and just 5 minutes up the hill from the exciting South Lake Tahoe casinos. A Fine dining restaurant ' The Chart House is also closely located half way down the hill before the casinos for that special dining occasion or just plain casual relaxation. This home has it all! A large living room is open to a gourmet kitchen. This large entertainment area also have a pool table, a large wood burning fireplace, , and an entertainment center complete with digital cable, surround sound, and a DVD player. The house is also equipped with wireless broadband Internet access. You will truly enjoy the over-sized wrap-around decks off the main entertainment area and master bedroom which both have lake views.

In the master bedroom is its own get way with its own fireplace, a spa tub, an entertainment center, and its own private deck. There is another secluded deck with a large Jacuzzi tub and great view of the hillside and night time lights and a nice place to relax after a fun day of skiing or scenic hiking. The extra large basement is a great place for the kids to getaway and/or extra guests. It fells like its own apartment. For those who can appreciate the spectacular vistas of the Tahoe Mountains and Lake Tahoe all within the comfort of a large luxury home. You will love this owner built get-a-way.

We really enjoyed our stay. House was as advertised. Would recommend to list more on infant/young child things available. There were plenty of gates available for stairs and other places. Also Pack&Play & high chair was available. I may have missed some of these things in the house info, but we packed several things that we did not need. We would definitely highly consider this place again if headed to this area.

Fabulous Stay!!

House was perfect for our multi-generation family vacation!! Living space and bedrooms were very comfortable. Kitchen is very well equipped. The living room and kitchen are on the top floor, so you definitely get your exercise in climbing stairs.

This house is conveniently located within an easy drive to South Lake Tahoe and has beautiful views across the street toward the lake and into mountainside out the back. The kitchen was well equipped - some of the better pots/pans/dishes I've experienced in rental houses. A couple of us enjoyed the hot tub, the grill worked great, and the house was clean. It wasn't a problem at all for our group but do note that there are many stairs inside and out, which might be challenging for folks with mobility issues (kitchen and living area is on the top floor.) We'd recommend this house to others.

40th Birthday

The house was perfect for all our family to celebrate my 40th birthday together! There was plenty of space, the layout was great, amenities fantastic and super easy process. The Christmas tree was the best added touch and we had a weekend full of memories!

Amazing

This is a beautiful place to stay. The surrounding scenery is amazing, and it is a short 5-10 minute drive to numerous trails and ski opportunities. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished, the amenities are abundant and the kitchen is well stocked with high end appliances and cooking utensils. The cupboards are abundant with mugs, plates and glassware. There were 12 adults that stayed here and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The pool table was well used as was the hot tub and soaking/jacuzzi tub. The best part for me was the beautiful view of Lake Tahoe that I saw as I was busy in the kitchen!

We met family members for annual vacation Sept 7th-14th. House was as listed. Well stocked kitchen. Nice location for day trips. Monte was very quick to respond whenever we had questions.

Beautiful view of the lake

We arrived around sunset, what an amazing view. Group of friends who haven’t seen each other in awhile, had a very peaceful few days in Tahoe. The house is spacious and beautiful. The views are incredible. A very short drive down into Tahoe and to the lake. We loved the experience

Lake Tahoe Birthday Celebration

Beautiful house with stunning views of Lake Tahoe and mountain side. We lit the fireplace every night of our stay and made s'mores. Fun family getaway. Kids loved the proximity to Heavenly for snowboarding. There are alot of stairs in the house and you'll get your daily workout. Mahalo to Maria and Monte for your gracious hospitality.

Beautiful house, great location!

The pictures really don’t do this house justice. The views are amazing and the home is really well built with lots of amazing woodwork. The kitchen is well appointed- which was great because we ended up cooking all our meals at the house. Location really is just 5 minutes from Heavenly’s Stagecoach Lodge/ Lift, and we also had no problem getting Ubers to take us downtown at night.

Perfect Tahoe House

The property was beautiful and the property manger responded to every request or problem along the way. We came in immediately following a storm and he made sure to get the property dug out of the snow to ensure use of the deck and hot tub. The house had everything we needed for our 14 person stay with 8 of the guest ranging from 1-12.

Great, but could use some deep cleaning.

We had a group of nine stay for a week at this property. The place itself is grand and beautiful. We LOVED that there were so many bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen is large and very well stocked. The hot tub was wonderful, and the numerous decks are great for meals and sunset watching.Our only complaints were the overall cleanliness of the property. There were some dishes in the cabinets with crusted on food. My sister found hair in one of the showers even though she was the first in our group to use it. The washing machine has some visible mildew on the rubber around the door opening. My husband and I were originally going to stay in the basement room, but we found a a good amount of what appeared to be mouse feces in several areas. On our last full day, my parents witnessed a chipmunk go into a speaker behind the television. They were able to remove the chipmunk to outside and cleaned out his nest. Perhaps the droppings in the basement were from chipmunks. The sheets and towels appeared very clean.Overall we LOVED the location and had a wonderful time. Communication with the owners was easy and they responded very quickly.

Perfect Family Getaway at Perfect Getaway

We had an annual family gathering of 20, aged 9 to 80. 14 slept at Perfect Getaway,6 slept at another nearby VRBO. But we spent our time at Perfect. Wonderful views of the Lake. We had a blast! Lots of family bonding. 7 nice bedrooms with a comfortable bed for all. You spend most of your time in the common area on the top floor. A well-equipped kitchen where we prepared meals for up to 20. A comfortable living area where we watched a lot of Olympics and played family games. And, best of all, a pool table which was in constant use. The only drawback to Perfect Getaway is that it has 4 stories and lots and lots of stairs. You may need to get into shape to stay there! The only way to improve Perfect would be to add an elevator!

Beautiful home on the hill

We were a family of seven who stayed at this beautiful home. The home is absolutely gorgeous inside and out with amazing views of Lake Tahoe and surrounding woods. The front faces the sunsets in the west so we did not feel like we had to fight the crowds for a better view. The bedrooms were great and we were able to open the windows for the much needed cross breezes in the evenings. We all loved the pool table and it’s location right in the middle of things. The kitchen was well equipped with all that you would need for cooking a family meal. The hone is just a short drive to South Lake Tahoe where there are many shops and restaurants. Lake Tahoe is a beautiful place and I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a spacious getaway for friends and family.

July 24 - 29, 2020

The property is located away from the crowds, which was wonderful. The weather was beautiful. There were 13 of us - Grandparents, "kids" and grandkids (ages ranging from 18 to 3), gathered before my oldest granddaughter goes off to New Hampshire to college. Each family had their own space, so the number of bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect. The great room layout was perfect - I could be in the kitchen and still be present while some played pool and others lounged in the living room. Because of Covid19, we stayed home over the weekend and most of Monday, but ventured out to the lake on Monday evening and Tuesday morning, when it wasn't so crowded. From the great room, we could see the lake through the trees. The kitchen is well equipped with every appliance you can think of (blender, coffee maker, k-cup coffee maker, toaster oven, hand mixer). From the standpoint of the time spent together with family, our stay was very special, especially since we have had limited contact since March.

What an absolutely great VRBO in the South Tahoe Area.

This is a great VRBO. There is tons of space for our family of 5-7 adults and 2 kids. The top floor was the gathering spot either around the kitchen table, the couch or the wraparound porch, all of which offer views either of the lake or the mountains. The house is high up enough to offer outstanding views but close enough to the attractions of South Lake Tahoe that it doesn't take forever to get there. The bedrooms were plentiful including a unique suite on the ground floor that came in very handy. For those who care about such things, the TV in the living room had subscriptions to both Youtube TV and Hulu, a touch that was very much appreciated. Great WIFI too! The kitchen had everything you need to cook (and we did) as well as an outdoor grill, lots of dishes and glasses, a double oven(!) and of course, the fridge, microwave and toaster oven. If you like hiking, the house is within a 10 minute walk of a handful of trails including Castle Rock and the Kingsbury North section of the TRT. The house itself was very clean and it was obvious that the host cares about the overall experience for their guests. We had to walk about 50 feet down the block to get the magical experience of the sunset over Lake Tahoe. That would just depend on the time of year. There are all kinds of touches you don't see from VRBO descriptions. If you have to a bit of work while you're there, there is an office on the top floor with a desk all ready to go. All in all a great experience!

We bought this house to truly enjoy the best of Lake Tahoe. I am a custom home builder and we completely rebuilt this home in 2005. We love the beauty of the mountains and the lake and redesigned the home so we could have the best of the views in all directions. This home offers a great place for us get together with family and friends on a regular bases.

Why they chose this property

We have always dreamed of having a home just around the corner from the ski slopes while also having a view of Lake Tahoe. This home is a short distance to the casinos and many great restaurants and shopping. With this house I feel like we get the best of it all. We have a beautiful mountain setting, while being close to all the fun places to go for a change of pace.

What makes this property unique

I love the beauty of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountain areas. I enjoy time spent with friends and family either skiing, out on the water, or hiking around the lake. We love to sit on the top floor deck and watch the beautiful sunsets, or have a few drinks enjoying the heated spa on its own private deck with stunning views.
