Welcome to our one-of-a-kind accommodation option in Downtown St. Augustine! If you're looking for a unique and memorable stay, you've come to the right place. Our property has undergone a Peace, Love & Happiness-inspired renovation, and the results are truly extraordinary. We poured our love into every piece of this build.

As soon as you step inside, you'll be captivated by the artistry that went into creating this space. Local artisans poured their talent into crafting the handmade kitchen and bathroom cabinets, and out of state crafters handmade the beds and headboards. The centerpiece of the kitchen is an exquisite red cedar epoxy island countertop, a true work of art in itself, created by a local St. Augustine crew.

One of the most eye-catching features is the wall adorned with the renowned "Spread Love" graffiti and a stunning St. Augustine mural greeting you outside, which sets the tone for the entire space. This graffiti art not only adds a unique character to the property but also serves as a constant reminder of the positive vibes and love that permeates your stay here.

The outside space is appropriately named The Bamboo Garden. In the corner you'll find tall bamboo, with colorful bottle caps lining the ground underneath. A picnic table, games, and cafe lights lend to a peaceful break from touring the city.

Our property is more than just a place to stay; it's an experience, a celebration of art, love, and positivity. IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

Need more space? In the front of the property we have a separate Vacation Rental. Separate parking and entrances, and no shared space. We welcome your friends or family to book our Artsy, 2 bed/2 bath Cottage that sleeps 4-6 guests! Guests will find 2 King en suites, plus an additional twin over full Renovation Hardware bunk bed in the second suite. A delightful screened in porch separates the two suites. In front, is a porch with 2 rocking chairs. Life is Good!

Great vibes in St Augustine

I wish we could give a 10 star review! We stay at a lot of rental properties and this one was by far the best. It was clear to see all the love and care put into the house and every possible need was accounted for. Easy access to town, restaurants and beach, the hosts were responsive and so accommodating- literally can’t say enough good things for this special home away from home!

Everything avout this place was amazing!

We have stayed at some nice places. This one takes the cake! You can tell they put so much love, thought and attention into The Art House, every single space, nook and cranny. After 2.5 days we were still discovering new details and features we missed. It was very clean, beds were super comfortable, quiet and the location was great. We definitely plan on coming back!

Clean, unique, and fun! Walked to all my favorite spots in Uptown St Aug. A short and quick drive to St George St area but this place was tucked away from the tourists. Enough space for myself, husband, brother, and father. We all had fun!

The Art House is everything and then some you see in the pics! There are so many little extra details that you keep finding new ones every day in this fun colorful abode. We had a very enjoyable stay and would return in a heartbeat. Close to everything and walkable.

Our friends group loved our stay at the Art House. Fun, comfortable, clean, it will be hard for you to leave this place to explore St Augustine and the rest of northeast Florida which we found to be full of vibrant neighborhoods, beautiful beaches, and lots of great food. Blown away, such a fun place.

I booked the Art house for a weekend getaway with some buddies, and this place exceeded all our expectations. The online photos are stunning, but nothing compares to walking through the door and being instantly immersed in the inviting atmosphere. Every detail is thoughtfully designed to create a vibe that’s both cool and relaxing. The property itself is beautiful and conveniently located within walking distance of all the best spots in St. Augustine. We felt right at home, and it was the perfect backdrop for our adventures. I can’t recommend this place enough—definitely planning to return! 10 out of 10 stars!

Awesome Accommodations

As soon as we entered we were amazed with the artwork and attention to detail in every room. The location was perfect as we were close to restaurants, downtown, and the beach. If this wasn’t our first visit to St Augustine, I would’ve been content to spend more time relaxing at this property. However, I was overruled as my family had other thoughts of the beach, sightseeing, and shopping. Perfect in every way!

Our stay was priceless. The property was amazing and so fun. Our teenage boy, 9 year old daughter and my husband and I loved the decor. Every day you saw something new. The provided shampoo & conditioner was salon quality and the home was so well stocked. The location was great and walkable to old downtown, shops and restaurants. All around this is the best vacation rental I’ve had in years. The host was responsive and checked to ensure we had everything we needed!

Beyond Amazing!!

This place is beyond amazing!! Pictures can’t even show the beauty of this place. And it’s a quiet area. Very relaxing. Thisi was perfect and we will def book this next time we come if it is available. Wendy and Dave are amazing and you can tell they put their heart and hard work into making this an amazing place. Quirky fun gem in the heart of St. Augustine

What a great stay we had in St. Augustine and the Art House. The place was absolutely adorably fun and quirky and immaculate when we arrived. Two girlfriends and myself stayed and had more than enough space. Would be perfect for a group of friends or several family members with the three large bedrooms. It did not have much of an outdoor area, if that's what you're looking for, but it wasn't a necessity for our trip. It was in a great location, just north of the downtown historic distance, which was within a walking area of 1 mile. It was a short 15 minute drive to several incredible beaches and attractions. The hosts were extremely responsive and even answered our texts later on the evening we arrived to insure we made it there and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Birthday Celebration Weekend

Our family had a fantastic extended weekend at the ArtHouse in one of our very favorite places - St. Augustine! Having been there many times over the years, this by far was one of the best ever thanks to the extraordinarily fun and vibrant atmosphere of The ArtHouse. As others have noted, there was an intriguing surprise awaiting discovery around every corner. The kitchen and bathrooms are not only masterpieces, they are also stocked above and beyond. David and Wendy are quick to communicate and have a seamless process in place from check-in to check-out…and certainly all in between! They even took an extra step to display a “Happy Birthday” message for our daughter on the living room sign board that added to our family moment! We HIGHLY recommend The ArtHouse if you are looking for an extraordinarily unique family-experience atmosphere!

Peace, Love, & Hospitality

Wendy & David’s ArtHouse is hands down the best rental property we have ever stayed in (and we’ve stayed in many)! The space is a work of art, and conveys the vibe of St. Aug in all its meticulous detail. Privacy, cleanliness, comfortability, amenities, necessities were all above and beyond. The outdoor shower!!! I showered indoor only once during our 5 night stay, the indoor showers are gorgeous, but I loved looking up at the trees and hearing the birds while using the shower outdoors. Our daughter is a fine arts major at Flagler College, and brought her roommates by to see the place, they were in awe of the place. Needless to say we loved our stay, and will absolutely stay at The ArtHouse again. I fully intended to add a “love lock” to the entrance fence, and some artwork to the sign in book, but I ran out of time, (We were moving my daughter to a new house for next semester). Next time! Perfect Place

We loved staying at the ArtHouse! It was a very comfortable place to come back to after exploring St. Augustine for the day. We were always finding some new detail to enjoy in this unique place. The master bedroom was a great space for my parents with the private bath. The den space, with the VW bed, plus the other bedroom with the attatched bathroom, which also led to the hallway, gave the rest of us (2 parents & 2 teens) plenty of space to spread out. The living room was perfect with plenty of seating to hang out in the evenings to watch some sports and movies on the giant screen. And the coffee table is awesome! We mostly ate out, but the kitchen was nice in the morning for coffee & a quick breakfast and for leftovers for a late night snack. We loved being able to leave our car in the driveway and walk to the historic & tourist areas (especially during the busy Christmas season). When we did need to drive somewhere, it was still very convenient, whether to the grocery store or to Anastasia Island for some of the attractions over there. Our hosts checked in several times throughout our stay just to make sure everything was going well and if we needed anything. All was good. If we decide to vacation in area again, I will definitely check to see if the ArtHouse is available. I'll also be recommending it to all my friends if they plan on travelling to St. Augustine! Thank You!

Simply the best!

Where to begin? If this house were a person it would be the life of every party. The personality of the entire house is a whole vibe, one that you can’t truly appreciate until you see this place for yourself. Wendy and David accessorized the house with custom pieces from various artists and creators which makes a small business owner’s heart happy. There’s absolutely nothing generic about the masterpiece that exists in those four walls. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better our gummies kicked in which intensified all of the colors of the house even more, especially those neon lights, and added extra laughs to the competitive game of scattergories - one of the many games they so nice and neatly displayed in a cute basket. The game of Twister was a hard no for our old joints. After intently studying the one of a kind coffee table with nostalgic candies in between the smooth resin material we finally convinced ourselves to hit the hay. While getting ready for bed I realized in my rush of packing that I’d forgotten my dental floss. I wasn’t bummed for too long though because right beside the sink was the cutest and well thought out display of name brand toothbrushes and toothpaste, miniature deodorants, face wipes, and lo and behold my favorite brand of dental floss. Big to the small, the Goldsteins thought of every single detail to make their guests’ visit one of the very best. By far, this is the coolest house I have ever seen. It wasn’t a stay it was an experience!

Wendy and David are entrepreneurs. By day they run a successful corporate team, building company, and by night and weekends, they run their passion project which is hosting guests in St. Augustine at three different vacation rentals. The ArtHouse is really special and creating it challenged all of Wendy's design skills and decorating with color. What would you do with an empty warehouse? It wasn't a question for us as we wanted to turn it into a funky, industrial, hippie-chic, vacation rental. You'll see a photo where we started with a cement floor and everything from there is architecturally designed, colorfully decorated, and furnished with fun and love. What's really fun for us is if you see any of the three guest houses, you'll see our favorite furniture, favorite designers, local artwork, and custom cabinets. What makes it really special is that people feel at home in these unique spaces and we really get a kick out of making people happy.

Why they chose this property

In front of The ArtHouse is Sanchez Suites our two-bedroom, two-bathroom dogtrot cottage, which we've been staying in on and off for the past year or so. It is a short-term rental when we're not there and guests love it. It is a relatively new house in the old city, and when we bought it, it came with the warehouse. We knew then, that was the special part of the property. We are three houses up from San Marco, across the street from the Fountain of Youth, and in walking distance to restaurants, shops, and historic downtown. What's not to love?
