Large, clean apartment that was close to coffee shops and grocery stores. Fantastic not to have to worry about parking as this location seemed outside the stickered parking system!
We enjoyed our stay. Our only critiques was the parking situation, as multiple times we struggled to find parking. The door window did not have a covering so we felt on display at night. The door is also a bit tricky to open but once you do it the first time it’s not so bad. The kitchen was very nice and we loved the open concept. The option to do laundry was also verry nice though the dryer does not fully dry clothing. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
nice apartment. clean, has everything you need, everything as described. quiet neighborhood, easy parking in front of the house, close to the old town and other attractions. walking distance to restaurants, grocery and a park. very satisfied and would stay again.

Perfect property for what we needed it for. Double bed mattress is a little worn and could be replaced. Otherwise the space is open, clean, wonderful
I would have to agree with most of the previous reviewer's comments. The neighborhood location was nice, and very quiet. And it was easy to walk to a coffee shop or to dinner at nearby restaurants. There was even a nice brewery nearby, La Souche. The apartment owner was very responsive too, quickly answering my questions leading up to our stay. The main perk for us was being able to bring our small dog.
But the apartment was definitely not the lap of luxury. It was sparsely furnished with few decorations, and could have used more light in the TV/couch area. A number of small things were broken when we arrived: curtain rods, can openers, the toilet paper roll hanger, a bed frame. Our bed was very uncomfortable. Our room did not have a dresser either, but there was one in the kids' bunk bed room. The place did not have AC, which was mostly OK, but there were some warm days. Two fans were provided and were very welcome. There was a TV, but bring your own Netflix password or you won't be able to watch anything.
The kitchen was fine and had all the pots and oven dishes we needed to cook several meals. There was cabinet space for our food too. The dishwasher worked well, and it was also nice to have a washer/dryer. The wifi worked fine through our stay.
So if you're OK with a bare bones apartment and just want a nice location, this will satisfy you.
The positives about this property are its location, with many good restaurants, bakeries and other stores within walking distance, and how quiet the neighborhood is. Also, the owner responded promptly to our questions. The apartment is well stocked and was clean at first sight, but we were shocked to find stains on the bed sheets, which made us take time out of our vacation to wash them all. We also smelled dog in the apartment, which got worse when we sat down on the sofa - and got dog hairs all over our clothes. (If you are a pet owner this may not be a big deal to you, but as the sofa was the only comfortable place to sit down in the apartment, we didn't consider this a minor inconvenience. The apartment does say it accepts pets, so we should have known better, and will book a non-pet property the next time). Finally, the wifi was terribly slow, except for the evening before our departure, when it stopped working altogether and did not return until an hour before our departure. Since we didn't have a calling plan that works in Canada, we were not able to contact the owner about this issue. The owner appeared concerned about the cleanliness issue but his cleaning staff apparently does not have their own access to the apartment, meaning we'd have to leave the key behind, which we had not known on the day it would have mattered. Given these issues, we were disappointed with this property.
The listing is accurate quite honestly, but not what I expected from a VRBO property. I was not comfortable with the street the apartment was on, the neighborhood a couple of blocks over had restaurants and areas to walk, but getting there was not a comfortable feeling, we ended up driving everywhere. Please note that this apartment is on the basement level. There is an outdoor space that was dirty, but could have been used for outdoor seating if properly maintained. The only comfortable seating, and comfortable is being used very loosely here, is a stained sofa. There were three barstools at the kitchen island which were very uncomfortable. The double bed in the bedroom was uncomfortable, I ended up sleeping on one of the twin bunkbeds, which was comfortable. The pillows are very uncomfortable. There was no side table in the twin bunk room, so I had to put everything on the floor. The dresser in that room was unusable as when you opened it the smell was very pungent. There were lightbulbs missing on the outside entryway, over the vanity in the bathroom, and in the hallway leading to the bedrooms, this was very inconvenient. There was one towel, and one towel only, on each of the beds. There were no extra towels, sheets, pillows or blankets The towels were rough washed and small. There was one small hand towel in the bathroom to be used by all occupants. The bathroom toilet paper holder was ripped out of the wall, and there was a broken piece of stemware in the cabinet.
