A nice place to take a break from the road

We stayed at this property for two nights while in Texas to visit certain sites. It is nicely appointed in country farm decor. It was clean, bright and comfortable. The kitchen is adequately furnished.

Good home base for hiking!

Great property! Literally down the street from palo duro canyon state park and minutes from gas, groceries and great restaurants. Would definitely stay here again and the fenced in yard was perfect for the dog

This place could be nice. But its not! The yard was knee high in weeds!! So much dog poop! The ramp in the back was dangerous! No tv or network or internet! The host offered no help.

Great Location

The location was perfect for our stay. We were in the middle of PDCSP and Canyon, so that was great. After a long day of hiking all I wanted to do was relax and watch some March Madness basketball but we couId not get the Wi-Fi to connect at all. All we were told was to restart the router but that never worked. Other than the Wi-Fi the stay was nice.

Great landing spot

We are on a 5 week camper van trip, and this was our only stop where we didn’t stay in our van. It was so nice to have space to move, a kitchen, washer dryer and fenced yard for the dogs. Super close to hike Palo Duro and we did a little shopping in town. Enjoyed a couple local restaurants too! The owner communicated well during unusual windstorms and aftereffects.

Great time

Had a wonderful stay. Only 10 minutes from the Canyon State Park and even less to town in case you needed anything you might have forgotten. Very quaint and had everything we needed to cook meals for breakfast and dinner

Quiet comfortable house

This cute house was comfortable and cozy! Beds were so comfortable giving us a good rest before long hikes in Palo Duro Canyon. I didn’t read the listing close enough and didn’t bring soap or shampoo. Oops. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils allowing us to prepare our own meals. I would def recommend!!

Great place for family get togethers

This home is located close to my family in Canyon and not too far from my mom in Amarillo. It’s on a busy road but is quiet with a fenced in yard and deck. Great place for my 2 dogs.The host communicates in a timely way. I recommend booking this home.Mike Robinson

Beware: Misleading Photos

When I booked this property, the only photos available showed the inside of the home and one shot of the outside from a good distance. The exact location was not shared until after the cancellation period was over. Unfortunately, upon arrival I was immediately aware that the photos were very misleading. The exterior of the property was dilapidated, with peeling boards and paint. The entry was a 2 step concrete set of stairs. The covered patio between the home and the padlocked barn had ruts in the mud so deep I couldn't park my rental van there safely. Upon entering, I saw toothpaste in the bathroom sink, what looked like dried ranch bean juice on the kitchen counter (very, very small kitchen) and the back door looked very unsecure. I could see light coming in from around the entire doorframe- it would be very easy to break in from that door. There was a portable AC unit unattached to anything just sitting in the living room near a window, covered in dust. Owner told me not to use the wall thermostat, as it was only for heat. I did not hear from the owner 3 days prior with check in information and when I reached out I was told the key would be on the top of the electrical box by the front door. I was also asked to start a load of sheets before leaving. We stayed 5 minutes and did not feel it safe or secure to sleep in or leave our valuables in. I locked it back up and checked in to a local hotel. VRBO will not issue a refund due to "insufficient evidence"- no photo proof.
