LOONS LANDING is a property located on beautiful Bass Lake in Traverse City, Michigan. It is fully furnished home filled with lots of room, including 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen and dining area, 2 separate living areas and a kids recreation area.

The home is split between three levels; the main level is home to the master bedroom, a full bathroom, kitchen and dining area, living room and the entrance to the very private deck that overlooks the lake. From the main level you can travel either upstairs or downstairs. Traveling upstairs you will find two spacious bedrooms with queen size beds. Traveling downstairs you will find another large room for relaxing or playing games. There is also another full-size bathroom in the lower level. The lower level also overlooks the lake and has a walk out patio door to the back yard and Bass Lake.

The home has a mixture of cottage feel with gorgeous pine accents coupled with trendy updates. The yard is grass covered, and the property has lots of beautiful landscaping. There is a bonfire pit near the lake. There is ample outdoor seating, and there is a canoe, and six kayaks (4 adult and 2 kid size) are provided for your use. Safety vests are also included for the canoe and kayaks.

While here, you will enjoy a quiet neighborhood and amazing sunrises over the lake. There are many animals in the area and on the lake to see. Some include turtles, eagles, loons and of course lots of fish!

The home is located 8 miles to the center of Traverse City. It is a perfect location to stay at and take day trips to famous places in Northern Michigan. The National Sand Dunes, Interlochen Center for the Arts, Mackinac Island, Frankfort, Northport, Suttons Bay, Leland and more!

The home sits on a small lot in a wonderful neighborhood. Due to the proximity of the neighbors, this home is NOT recommended for loud or large groups. It is perfect for small groups who wish to enjoy the scenery of the lake and the amenities of the home.

Loons Landing is located on the west side of Traverse City. Minutes from downtown Traverse City and a short drive to Interlochen Center for the Arts, Frankfort, Suttons Bay and all the wonderful attractions in our beautiful area.

No smoking inside the rental and no pets allowed.

There is a 3-car parking maximum. Additional off site parking is available if the need arises.

Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please clean all dishes and place them back in the cupboards. (Empty the dishwasher.)
In the event you've moved any furniture, please return any furniture back to its original location. This is for indoor and outdoor furniture.
Make sure all watercraft and outdoor equipment is returned to its proper home (kayak rack, life vests hung up, etc...)
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
3 vehicles are allowed on the property. Additional offsite parking is available if the need arises.
Violations of house rules (noise, # of guests, cleanliness, etc.) are subject to immediate removal w/out refund. Fees will apply when necessary.
A rental agreement must be completed prior to gaining directions or the entry code to the home.

I am a 'native' of Traverse City and this neighborhood. I have my own rental that I have been running for 27 years. I have added managing vacation rentals (on Bass Lake) in addition to my own vacation rental.
I grew up on this lake/neighborhood and enjoy everything about it. Meeting new people over the years (becoming friends with many of them) has been very rewarding.

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood is quiet and filled with many great people. My family has been in this area for a few generations. I feel blessed to be here!

What makes this property unique

The property is on a narrow lot with a fantastic view of the lake. The sunrises are amazing. The house is very spacious and provides ample room for people to spread out if desired. All three floors look over the lake. There is a spacious kitchen and dining area to eat and prepare food in. There are two large living areas, both with gas fireplaces and tv's. The main level living room overlooks the lake and has access to the deck on the lakeside. There is a gas grill and seating on the deck. It is a perfect place to watch the sunrise. The lower level living offers plenty of space to spread out and play games and/or watch tv. There is a foosball table, dart board and an assortment of games provided for your use. It also has a door that walks out under the deck above and has seating there to enjoy the outdoors in the shade. Or, continue walking out into the yard and to the lake and enjoy a paddle around the lake in the canoe or kayaks (provided), sit on the dock or sit by the bonfire on the beach.
