About this property
Your 15 acres of privacy on the water- Rock Island
Private cabin on 15 acres with two campsites, riverfront access and minutes from Rock Island State Park. Relax in your cozy cabin with it's own half bath (toilet and sink) and kitchen. Or immerse in nature in your private campground with hot showers and flush toilets in an outdoor bathhouse. Bring your kayak or canoe, or fish off your own dock! Visit the Great Falls of Rock Island State Park or antique in town. Escape the chaos, find peace on the River.
The space
PLEASE READ ALL OF THE DESCRIPTION. PRIOR TO BOOKING THIS PROPERTY. This is a unique and rustic property set within dense woods on the Collins River. If you love nature you will love this place, if you prefer luxury and amenities then this property may not be the best experience for you.
The cabin is rustic and eco-friendly but still comfortable with cotton bedding, hot and cold potable water, an indoor half bath with flushing toilet, plus three outdoor showers (two in a detached open-air bathhouse). The property also includes two campsites nearby with a tent platform, firepit and chairs. (No electricity or water at the campsites, water is available at the bathhouse).
The cabin features an open floorplan with a king bed on the main floor and two queen beds in the open loft above.
The cabin has electricity, a small kitchen with a hotplate, small microwave, minifridge, sink and dishes. The bathroom has hot and cold water and a flushing toilet. There is no indoor shower.
ALL GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO AGREE TO AN ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY PRIOR TO USE OF THE PROPERTY. (See Policies and Rules)
You understand that use of this property may include outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and the use of the dock (“Activities”). You acknowledge and understand that these Activities are inherently dangerous and special risks may be involved in such Activities, including risk of interaction with venomous or disease bearing wildlife, bodlily injury or death, and you participate in such Activities AT YOUR OWN RISK. You understand there are additional dangers that such Activities may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as to any person with health risks, or is using any kind of drug or medication, is intoxicated or is pregnant. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents or injury you or anyone in your party may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party.
You release the owner of the property (and its members, officers and agents) from any and all liability and claims (except for claims of intentional acts) arising from use of the property and/or participation in any of the Activities during use of the property. All Guests in your party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and they acknowledge that confirming below constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between Guests and Host.

There is a lovely dock, lots of shoreline by the lake and s firepit located by the river for your enjoyment. Access to the river is via path which is steep. Vehicles, even trucks or SUVs, are not permitted to drive down to the river.
