We would definitely stay at The Water's Edge again! We made day trips to Pictured Rock and Mackinac Island (each only about an hour away) and spent the rest of the time enjoying the lake. The beautiful house was perfect for our group of six with a wonderful kitchen. Restaurants and ice cream were a short walk away. Hosts were quick to respond to messages and check in/check out directions were very clear and simple.

There aren’t many options to stay in the UP. This was a little out of the way but the property was well designed and had some nice amenities. That being said, we would not choose to stay here again because of the strong smell of sewer gas. Pros: plenty of space, huge master bath, nice view Cons: pillows were extremely flat, no extra blankets, strong smell of sewer gas
