We loved our stay at Gregory’s and only wish it was longer! The home is beautifully appointed with very comfortable beds and a wonderful hot tub. We hope to return soon!
Beautifully decorated home with great attention to detail. We had everything we needed and more. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Lovely quiet neighborhood with everything one could need or want within a short drive. Thanks for a lovely stay!!
My friends and I stayed at Gregory's during a long weekend and the trip was so relaxing. The home is about a 15 minute (uphill!) walk from the ferry terminal or it is a short bus ride away. Note: If you are coming without a vehicle, be mindful of the bus schedules as taxis are expensive on the island.
All three bedrooms were spacious and everything that you needed in the kitchen was supplied.
We really loved lounging in the hot tub, bonding by the fire pit, cooking dinner on the barbecue, cozying up upstairs in the reading nook, and having breakfast on the patio. Thank you for the wonderful stay, Gregory!
Our family of 4 adults and one child really enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. It is not waterfront, but there is a beautiful view of the ocean on the horizon from the large deck which has excellent seating including an outdoor dining table and cushioned lounge chairs. The decor of the home is tasteful and contemporary with retro-modern accents. The beds are very comfortable and each bedroom offered plenty of space. The kitchen is a bit small, but it offers everything you’ll need, except a microwave which really wasn’t an issue for us. The hot tub was very enjoyable and the landscaping around the property is well kept. There are sitting places in the beautiful natural rock formations, including a fire pit (which we didn’t use due to the campfire ban at the time). We enjoyed a movie night in the upstairs entertainment room which features an excellent surround sound system. Overall, we loved the home. It’s about a 5 minute drive to Gibsons town centre where you can visit restaurants and shops. We made a few day trips up the coast to visit breweries, a cidery; we drove to Katherine Lake and did a trail hike to Smugglers Cove. A little bit of a drive but well worth it. We would highly recommend this vacation property!
We loved our 2 nights here. The host Gregory was very responsive with questions and suggestions. The house itself was lovely. It was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. Highlights include the amazing large outside hot tub, beautiful deck, seat warmer bidet toilet, the cool piano innards art piece that you can play and the upstairs loft surround sound TV / Theatre area. There was a fully stocked kitchen but no microwave or laundry. Most of the living area is nicely renovated but the kitchen cupboards could use a little upgrading. The house is located in a very quiet area but there is not much view of the water. We woke up one morning to find a large black bear just over the fence next door picking and eating apples off a tree. Quite the spectacle to see!! Overall, it was a great place to crash for a couple of nights after touring / sightseeing during the days! We would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.
We loved our stay over the Family Day long weekend. We wanted somewhere close to the ferry, as we had to pop over to the mainland during our stay. It's literally two minutes from the ferry! We also wanted somewhere quiet we could recharge and just spend time together. Gregory's place went above and beyond! Not only is it impeccably clean, but it's incredibly well thought out. You can tell they take great pride in their place. We loved all the cozy spots to curl up with a book, the kitchen was incredibly well stocked with every kind of dish you could imagine (though there's no microwave, so don't bring microwave popcorn!), everything was well labelled (there's even a drawer with labelled extra chargers), there's lots of linens and extra blankets available (handy during a winter stay), night lights in the dark places, and a covered hot tub! Oh, and there's even a fancy toilet seat that's HEATED. The neighbourhood is quiet and there was even a stack of wood for a little fire outside waiting for us. I kept looking out the many windows, trying to imagine how beautiful it would look in the spring and summer. They even have a hummingbird feeder that had the kids glued to the window so they could watch the constant flow of hummingbirds! It's sometimes hard finding a great place for a winter holiday, so we would definitely recommend staying here any season, and we would stay again. For sure.
