Welcome to the Bell Road Retreat, Columbia’s quietest getaway!
Located just 20 minutes north of downtown Columbia, the retreat is on a pastoral 3 mile gravel road. A fully equipped kitchen with a beautiful sunroom overlooking a wooded valley allows for relaxed meals. Bring your binoculars for birding, bike for exploring the area, or walk the quiet drive looking for wildflowers and deer. Check our Guide Book for local Food/Fun.

The space
The 5 acre property is a large wooded hill above a small creek and winding road. The house has an open floorpan with lots of windows and an incredible sunroom.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the first and second floors of the main house.
A quiet caretaker couple live in the garage apartment and they use the apartment, garage and the house basement. There is a locked door between the basement and main house.
Other things to note
The caretaker couple has a sweet cat named Gary who lives only in the basement.

Would Visit Again

The home is exactly as listed and a perfect spot for our family to stay while we were in town visiting our Mizzou student and attending a football game. I’d love to visit again for a full weekend stay to relax and enjoy a peaceful, quiet retreat away from home.

Great place just outside Columbia.

We stayed during a deer hunting trip. This place was located far enough outside Columbia proper that we never felt like we left the woods even after hunting. I would definitely book again if we choose to come hunt this area again.

LSU game against Mizzou

A bit challenging to find, but beautiful. The location is great, the facilities were very nice, easy to use. Lots of wildlife (deer and turkeys). Very comfortable and easy to use. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful Home Surrounded by Beauty

Had a great stay over the weekend. The house is located quite off the grid and completely surrounded by nature. Had a great weekend! The balcony on the second floor helped me find silence and unwind 10/10 would stay again!
