Thank you for the review, Sally! We are glad you had a comfortable stay.
House was charming, and cozy. We had everything we needed while we we there. It would be a great place to stay in the fall with all the changing leaves. If there is one thing we could have done differently to make easier, plan to eat all your meals at the house, or pack one. It's just takes too long to get anywhere because it's so isolated, but mainly because it's in the mountains.
Enjoyed quiet time with my sisters. Loved soaking in the hot tub!

The listing was accurate and our getaway was amazing! Messages were responded to promptly and attention was provided for every detail. The view was lovely and the church bells every evening were a joy! Our boys loved fishing in the pond and the porch and hot tub were well used!

Your kind words have me smiling from ear to ear! I’m thrilled that every part of your stay—from the accurate listing and prompt communication to the stunning view and those charming evening church bells—came together so beautifully. Hearing that your boys enjoyed fishing in the pond, and that the porch and hot tub set the scene for true relaxation, makes it all the more special. We take pride in making sure each detail is just right, and it’s wonderful to know our efforts helped create an amazing getaway for your family. Thank you for sharing these moments, and I’d love to host you again whenever you’re ready to return!
The landscape views and location were absolutely gorgeous, to say the least!
Check in was a breeze, we received plenty of clear communication, and there were existing baby gates at the top of the stairs and outside on the deck. Perfect for our toddler to not fall to his death or run away down the mountain towards the cows!
The fresh air coupled with the sunrise and sunset views makes your day.
God sent us to this place to refresh our souls.

Your review just made my day! I’m delighted that the cabin’s stunning views and easy check-in process contributed to such a soul-refreshing experience. We know how important it is to feel at ease when traveling with a little one, so I’m thrilled those baby gates helped keep your toddler safely corralled—no surprise, wild cow chase or heart-stopping tumbles required! And who could resist starting and ending their day admiring a horizon painted by sunrise and sunset? It’s wonderful to know you felt truly at peace and uplifted here. Thank you for sharing your moment of renewal, and I’d be honored to welcome you back whenever you need to recharge under these amazing skies again!

Thank you for your honest feedback. I’m glad you found the house comfortable, but I’m sorry the decor and the condition of the bathtub didn’t meet your expectations. Your input is valuable, and I’ll make sure it’s passed along to the team so we can make improvements. I appreciate you bringing this to our attention and thank you for staying with us.
The only thing we would say negative is that it is a bit far from anything. The "view" is lacking due to the run down or abandoned buildings at the property entrance. Also - it would be a big improvement if they could find a spot for a firepit area.

I’m thrilled to hear that you found the house both comfortable and clean—making guests feel at home is always our goal. I appreciate your candid feedback about the location and the view near the entrance. We understand that the sight of run-down buildings might not set the ideal mood, and I’ll certainly pass that on for consideration. Your suggestion of adding a firepit is a great one! Gathering around a cozy outdoor fire often adds that extra special something to a stay, and I’ll be sure to highlight this idea to our team.
While the property may feel a bit off the beaten path, I hope the peacefulness of being away from it all offered its own charm. Still, I’m grateful for your honesty about what could be improved, as it helps us fine-tune the experience for future guests. It warms my heart that you enjoyed your time here, and I’d love the chance to welcome you back someday—hopefully with a few enhancements inspired by your thoughtful suggestions!
The property was easy to get to. Very clean and comfortable. The wifi password and conection were incorrect. The gas grill was rusted and not useable. And could not find broiler pan to use. But other than that..it was relaxing and peaceful.

Thank you for sharing your feedback! I’m glad to hear the property was easy to access, clean, comfortable, and provided a relaxing and peaceful environment. I apologize for the issues you encountered with the Wi-Fi connection and the gas grill, as well as the absence of a broiler pan. These details will be addressed to improve the experience for future guests. I appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you back for an even better stay in the future!
Clean 3 BR with 2 bathrooms (master did not have an outlet). Well stocked kitchen. Views were beautiful from porch. 2 person hot tub was very nice at night with the local church bells ringing. We did have issues with the downstairs TV working. The large one in the upstairs den worked well. The electric fireplace upstairs was a nice touch as well. As the owner states, you need to get your groceries before you arrive as the nearest one is at least 40 minutes away. Kennedy Creek Tavern was down the road and a good place to eat and visit with community. We would stay here again! You will probably lose cell service so that was a concern for us checking in.

Great view but too remote
The house is big with great view. The beds were comfortable and clean. But the house is too remote since anywhere you go would take a long drive. Our cellphone had no signal at all. Every time we would need to download the map in advance. Also the property manager paid no attention to what we need, only wanted to go through their procedure. When we requested a late checkout, we were told there would be a checkin the same day. But we found out the property didn't have a checkin at all.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I ’m glad you enjoyed the great views, spacious home, and comfortable beds, but I’m sorry to hear that some aspects of your stay didn’t meet your expectations. Your feedback about the remote location and communication is valuable, and I’ll ensure these concerns are addressed to improve the guest experience. I appreciate your honest review and hope we can provide a better experience if you choose to stay with us again.
We enjoyed a frosty, family weekend at the Burnett cottage. The temps dropped to 14 degrees our first night. We woke up to a peaceful, frozen pond and the most beautiful church bells while we enjoyed a slow morning. Our kids enjoyed decorating the Christmas tree, it was such a sweet detail. We ventured into Dahlonega for the day, but it was so nice to drive over the mountains as the sun was setting and come back to our little retreat after a day of shopping. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to stay in and cook. The electric fireplace was a nice touch for lounging in the living room with a good book or playing board games. The hot tub was lovely, but the frigid winds cut our hot tubbing time short. Our kids enjoyed a soak in the jetted tub instead, haha. Beds were comfy, linens and towels were plentiful, and we felt well taken care of by Joni. We look forward to visiting again for a longer visit someday.
