Only 1 mile away, explore Boothbay Harbor, a picturesque coastal town known for its scenic beauty and charming atmosphere. Located on the rugged midcoast of Maine, with stunning views of the sea and the surrounding islands. Take a short cruise around the harbor or a longer one to Monhegan island. End a perfect day with a sunset sail or enjoy a boat trip to the popular Cabbage Island clambakes. The downtown is filled with shops, art galleries, and delicious seafood restaurants. Strolling along the waterfront, you can enjoy the fresh sea breeze and observe the lobstermen bringing in their catch.
One of the highlights is the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, a stunning 270-acre oasis featuring beautifully landscaped gardens and scenic walking paths.
Boothbay Harbor also hosts various events and festivals throughout the year, including the annual Windjammer Days Festival, which celebrates the town’s maritime traditions with parades, fireworks, and boat races.
Kayak and e-bike rentals available as well as sailing opportunities. Explore the midcoast area by taking a drive up the coast to Camden, Rockland or Acadia National Park or down to to LL Bean outlet or to Portland, lots to do and see for a memorable vacation.
