Fun little accommodation with beautiful river access and wine tasting literally a step away! Quick access to town/the beach. Kiki was so helpful and accommodating!

Remote and Peaceful

I enjoyed a personal getaway at the Cabernet Cottage. The cottage was clean, tidy and quaint. It was in a rather remote location which was exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely return!

We enjoyed staying at the cottage. Though small, it had just about everything we would want. A small TV and WiFi would be a nice addition, but it wasn't a deal breaker for us. Overall a good experience and Kiki was quick to respond with any questions we had.

The house was all that the renters explained on the website. It was more than adequate for one or two occupants. It was clean and fully stocked for all needs. The outdoor grill was unsuitable for cooking as it was dirty and not cleaned. An outside clothesline would’ve been helpful for drying bathing gear. The location is a mile from the town of Colonial Beach and the town offered a few shops and some nightlife along the Surfside boardwalk. The outside-of-the-house grounds were not mowed nor very attractive.

I wasn’t sure what to expect but the container cottage was absolutely adorable inside. It was a nice quiet location and close to where our friends had their boat for the weekend. A little yard work and weed trimming around the outside of the property would make it even more inviting though. So much attention to detail was paid to the inside but the outside seemed a bit neglected. Would definitely go back though!!
