We had an incredible stay at Joan’s house. She’s made it an awesome combination of wonderful design, with comfort and coziness together. Joan was very lovely and communicative. We would love to come back in future.
We drove into a secluded winding pathway leading to the house. Once inside, there is an expansive living room that extends out to a patio/dining area and perfectly manicured lawn. It’s breathtaking. The interior is comfy and light, the bedrooms are so tastefully appointed, bathrooms are full of lovely scented amenities, and the stocked kitchen overlooksed the pool and patio. Sharpe knives!
Best of all was a barely still producing veggie and cutting garden (surprising for late fall). Dawdled, dug, relaxed and slept. It was a perfect getaway.

Acorn House is simply beautiful. It’s a perfect place to relax. The interiors are classic Hamptons – relaxed but curated. Recently renovated. I’m in the creative world so I LOVED the vintage pieces, slipcovered down seating, Il Buco accessories, Sicilian body gel/shampoo/conditioner everywhere including the outdoor shower, lots of linen, cotton ticking, sisals, sheepskins, pine floors, etc. etc. etc. The main space with its white-washed timber framing is flooded with southern light. I loved working in the barn balcony in the morning, overlooking the living room, the deck, and the lawn beyond. In the late afternoon, after a day by the pool, I’d pick some mint for mojitos by the firepit and gather herbs, tomatoes, and squash from the garden for dinner. Dreaming of coming back next summer…
My family (6 adults, 1 2-year old) had a delightful stay at Acorn House. The location is wonderful, an easy drive or bike ride to the beach, but the backyard and pool are so beautiful that it's tempting just to stay at home! The kitchen is pretty well appointed for cooking at home, and the furnishings are all both lovely and comfortable. Easy check in and communication with the host. Absolutely looking forward to coming again!
The house was just wonderful, everything it was advertised to be - at the end of a cul de sac which made for a quiet and private setting - just a stone's throw from 27, so easy access to shopping and restaurants. We are sheets, pillows and cooking snobs, so we were over joyed to sleep in beautiful linens in the most comfortable bed. We love to cook and the kitchen was perfectly stocked with terrific pots and pans and sharp knives! We were able to snip a few remaining herbs from the beautiful garden - the grounds are quite impressive. We read in the hammock, enjoyed dinner by the stone fireplace (so nice to have logs available!) and watched a movie on the TV brilliantly hidden behind a spectacular tapestry! Can't wait to come back in the summer to lounge by the fantastic pool and gardens.
