This trendy and fully modernized apartment includes hardwood flooring and roof beams making a lovely contrast between traditional and contemporary, while the kitchen and bathroom fittings are both stylish and modern. The 70 square meters premises are composed by a living room (1 double sofa bed), 1 bedroom (Queen bed), fully equipped bathroom and kitchen.

The apartment is equipped with a 32 inches TV, cable with 75 channels, a fast WiFi connection.
The bedroom has a double bed and a large wardrobe. Linen and towels are included.
Kitchen includes granite counters, built in glass top stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing and laundry/drying machine, a large fridge, freezer and espresso coffee machine.
A 6 seater dining table is in the dining space between the kitchen and living room.

Note: As most of the apartments in this area, there´s no lift .The apartment it’s on 3d floor, so there are 3 short flights of stairs to the apartment.

This is Lisbon's trendiest quarter with unique design shops and when the evening comes the area is transformed into a cornucopia of bars and restaurants;

It is 10 minutes away from the monumental Rossio train station which may take you to UNESCO World Heritage village of Sintra.

Great four-day stay! The apartment had all the essentials for a comfortable visit. The location is excellent, surrounded by great dining options and convenient transport links. While the living room can be noisy at night due to the vivid street night live, the bedroom faces a quiet courtyard and is perfectly peaceful. Highly recommended!

Spacious flat in a very lively part of Lisbon. Very spacious, large kitchen, good sized dining and living rooms. Super well equipped compared to many vacation rentals, with ample dishwasher tabs, laundry soap, body wash, etc. Area is very loud and busy at night; we enjoyed sitting with the windows open listening to the nightly action in the street facing living room but the bedroom was situated in the back and was very quiet for sleep. As noted, it is a third floor walkup (very common in Lisbon). No air conditioning but the unit cooled nicely at night in late March with a nice cross breeze through open windows in the evening.

We had a marvelous stay. Our host was extremely helpful with all aspects of our experience. From booking to getting us there. Communication was great. We were met by the host at the property and he ran us through the ins and outs and where to eat and shop. Barrio Alto is in an area that you need to walk to as ubers and your car are not allowed to go there. It is a vibrant neighborhood and heaps of places to eat and drink. The streets can get loud but the apartment has amazing double glaze windows and you can’t hear the noise when you shut them to sleep. Easy access to a central plaza to catch the tram 28 and coffee etc. kitchen is very well equipped as we like to cook our own meals from time to time. Also has a clothes washer which we used. Overall, a wonderful, quaint peaceful and comfortable place to stay. The description does mention it is in the 3rd floor and no lift so keep that in mind. Enjoy!! We did!

Being on the third floor, up more than 30 steep stairs (no lift), it was not really suitable for a guest nearer to 80 than 70 years old.It was showing signs of wear and tear, but was basically functioning, though the main door lock was quite temperamental.Very conveniently situated, particularly for those seeking nightlife.

In the heart of Bairro Alto

This place is in the middle of the party district. Lots of restaurants and bars. Easy walking distance to Cais do Sodre and points north. Even with the large (and loud) crowds on the weekend, the bedroom was pretty quiet. The space was comfortable. It was a perfect location for our adventures.

Great location in barrio alto. Easy access to trains for day trips. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area. Busy area so need to be ok with noise from local bars etc but that wasn’t an issue for sleeping. Also stairs up to the apt so some may not want that but ok for us. The area is hilly overall. Great stay and responsive hosts.

What makes this property unique

The apartment is located in a typical quarter of Lisbon, close to different means of transport and points of interest (São Carlos and D. Maria II National Theatres, Trindade and São Luiz Theatres, Chiado Museum, Design and Fashion Museum, Carmo Archaeological Museum, Science Museum, Natural History Museum, belvederes, cinemas, libraries, fado restaurants, restaurants, bars, and so on). One of the city’s best viewing point is at Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara, near the Solar do Vinho do Porto for wine tasting. The area is also well known for its many fado music venues. In fact you might ear fado trough the apartment balconies in the evening. A little North, Princípe Real is a gay-friendly extension of the area, boasting antique shops and galleries, as well as its namesake square and park of exotic plants.

Just 50 meters from the apartments door, you can catch Tram nº 28 – a scenic stroll will take you to the Castelo de São Jorge, perched in the Alfama cliffs.
