Great location for our family time away. Close enough to Kingston but far enough away to enjoy the countryside. Well-stocked home including ample firewood for chilly evenings.
The cottage has beautiful views a really well equipped cottage and comfy beds and living room furniture
We were able to put together some lovely thanksgiving meals and there were quite a few extra spices and cooking supplies stocked
Great stay
Five old friends came from Montreal, Toronto and BC to spend a few days together. The cottage is fresh, new and comfortable for our games, stories and laughter. Host Chris made himself accessible for all our many questions both before and during the stay, and was extremely accommodating when we had to change our dates.
We spent many an hour birdwatching, including the fall migration gathering of hundreds of cormorants! A first even for the avid birder! The grounds and cottage were immaculate, appliances upgraded and the beds comfortable. A very well equipped kitchen, including full coffee and tea supplies. This is a new accommodation that the hosts have many more plans for. You should enjoy your stay!
We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage had everything we needed - clean, well appointed and family friendly. It was close enough to Kingston, and to shopping and parks and still offered a beautiful water view.
Great two week stay. Surpassed our expectations. Everything is new, from windows, to dishes, to beds, to appliances,... Ate most of our meals at the cottage and never had to worry about not having the appropriate kitchen wares to cook. Incredibly quiet and lots of birds to watch. Lake was warm, but have to walk through some weeds and water shoes highly recommended.
We had a great stay and really enjoyed the proximity to berry picking and downtown Kingston. Nice peaceful spot with lots of birds to watch and a great view of the water. If you are thinking about swimming water shoes are recommended. The cottage is well stocked and seems relatively new. It was great for a short family getaway.
My family and I had a great time at the cottage. Chris was communicative and there were ample supplies to ensure our stay was comfortable. I would just echo the other reviews mentioning the potential for side table lamps. It would be nice to have some soft ambient light in the evenings as opposed to only bright overhead lights. Overall we would recommend this cottage to others.
We stayed at this cottage for 4four days to attended my daughter graduation at Queens Unv. Also to have a relaxing time at the Harmony Lane cottage.
The cottage was very clean, updated from kitchen to bedrooms. Also we had all equipments and utensils for cooking at the cottage with a good working AC.
Chris is a great host and he communicate with us to bring drinking water since cottage has filtered water from lake, also we brought our bedding sheets and towels.
We are also greeted by swans and Canadian geese’s at this part of lake early mornings.
We had an enjoyable time at this cottage, and thank you Chris
On the plus side, this property is nicely privatized and quiet with amazing views of a pretty lake and many swans. There are new windows all across the front to take advantage of this. There are well-appointed seating areas outside with a fire pit. The kitchen is lovely, very well equipped and the appliances are high end. There is a plentiful stock of condiments, shampoos, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee etc. There is strong wifi and a tv. The new mattresses were great.
On the other hand, as in the listing, you need to bring your own bed linens. You also need to bring your own bath towels and washcloths. The water is not drinkable - so bring your own! Although there are lots of strong recessed ceiling lights, there are no lamps and no bedside lamps. There is one pillow each (if there are 6 people). There are no closets or hooks or drawers for coats and clothing.
The host/owner was very communicative and responded to any issues quickly.
The host Christopher answered us really fast each time, the cottage has a full equip kitchen, it was super clean and we had such a beautiful time!
Shower could use a little more power, but otherwise, everything was perfect !
Tastefully decorated and well appointed cottage. Quiet, tranquil setting with great sunsets over the lake, while still being only a short commute to the conveniences of town.
My family had a fantastic stay here. The cottage is spacious and has all the upgrades of a modern home. The lake was very clean and great views of the sunset.
Chris is amazing with communication. Gets back quickly and answers any questions you may have a fantastic host. Can't recommend the property enough!
Property was clean and tidy and worked well for our group. We travelled with 2 children and 2 grandchildren. The description provided in advance matched what we found upon arrival. The cottage was well stocked with all the essentials. Communication with the owner was easy and efficient. We would recommend this property to other travellers.
We spent a couple of days in this cottage to explore the area of Kingston and the Thousand Islands. It is a beautiful location with everything you need and with a direct access to the lake. Perfect place to rest and enjoy the nature in between visits.
Chris is an exceptional host, displaying clear and prompt communication skills. The cottage is meticulously arranged, making it an ideal spot for family or friends' vacations. It comes fully equipped with all necessary amenities for a delightful week or weekend getaway. The WIFI is both fast and dependable, while the beds provide an incredibly comfortable rest. The kitchen is well-stocked with essentials, including a coffee maker, high-quality pots and pans, and a BBQ grill.
The waterfront offers a gently sloping entry into the water, creating a safe and enjoyable environment for various activities. The water's warmth further enhances the experience. To make the most of your time, consider bringing along a paddleboard or kayak, as well as water shoes due to some rocky areas. Such equipment will undoubtedly add to the fun and excitement.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend this cottage without reservation. My anticipation for future visits is already high, given the outstanding experience I had during my stay.
Warm regards,
David
We were really pleased with the cottage. I was really clean and well appointed with top of the line accessories. We enjoyed the fact that it was so close to Kingston and Gananoque and 401. The beds were very comfortable and love being able to sit around the fire pit at night. Would recommend it.
This property is ideally situated on the Rideau canal system. Just a short drive from Kingston. The property was spotless and extremely well equipped.
A bonus was the quiet, peaceful location and the opportunity to view nature along the river.
Chris was very responsive to any questions we had. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
