Summary:

Scenic Sunset is a comfortable, single-level cabin tucked at the end of the Scenic Heights neighborhood, just minutes from the Gorge Underground and other Red River Gorge attractions. With easy access via a well maintained and flat gravel road, this cabin offers a peaceful forest setting without the need for high clearance or four-wheel drive. High ceilings, large windows, and a private outdoor space make it a relaxed home base for couples, families, or small groups.



The Space:

Scenic Sunset features an open living area with high ceilings and large windows that look out over the surrounding forest. The living room, dining area, and full kitchen flow together, creating a comfortable space to relax after a day outdoors. Guests will find a cozy seating area, electric fireplace, smart TV with apps to log into, dining table for four, two bedrooms, a full bathroom with tub, and a washer and dryer for convenience.



Outside, enjoy a quiet and private setting surrounded by trees. The front of the cabin offers a firepit and charcoal grill, while a small patio out back provides a peaceful spot to unwind in nature, complete with a four person hot tub. With its central location and easy access, Scenic Sunset is a simple and inviting place to enjoy the Red River Gorge.



This cabin is located in a neighborhood with other properties, but this cabin is at the very end of the road and is overall very private!

This cabin is located down a well maintained gravel road. A low clearance, 2wd vehicle won’t have any issue approaching this cabin.



Other Things to Note:

We supply a starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry pods, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply. We do not supply anything considered perishable or consumable, this includes but is not limited to, coffee, salt, pepper, oil and the like.



- Toiletries (shampoo, body wash) are provided.

- Please ensure to enter a VALID and operational phone number into your account/ reservation as all of your information regarding your stay will be texted to your phone. Thank you!

- There is a drip coffee maker, we provide filters but not coffee.

- Pets are allowed at this cabin. We charge a flat pet fee of $50 for up to two pets. Please be sure to add any pets to your reservation. If you do not see where to do so, reach out to us so we can apply our pet fee.

- We do not provide firewood, charcoal or lighter fluid.

Nice property- convenient to parks

All four of us enjoyed our stay at this property. It was close to the hiking we were there to do as well as restaurants. The property backs up to the woods, which was also nice.

Great stay with our 5 year old daughter and our dog. The cabin has everything you could possibly need and is very secluded at the end of the group of houses. Could not see or hear anyone else from the balcony/deck. Great location close to trails and everything you might want to do in the area.

Location

Lovely cabin on edge of woods. Plenty of parking space for our truck and trailer. Great location close to RRG activities. Could use more towels and soap dispenser in shower was empty.

Scenic sunset

We loved being able to get away to this cute and cozy cabin! I was a little nervous about getting there in my Altima but it’s very easy to get to. We loved the fire pit on our chilly nights, and the hot tub was so relaxing after a good hike. Would recommend this cabin & would stay again. Thanks for having us!

The location was great, close to all the local activities and located in a nice, walkable neighborhood of other cabins. The unit was also clean and in good shape, including the hot tub. Property manager has been easy to work with and allowed us to shift the reservation date after the cancellation date. Also allowed us to take our 4 small dogs - very rare. Would have been a higher rating but the kitchen had very little useable cookware, many of the bowls and plates were chipped, and there weren’t cleaning supplies to wipe surfaces or clean spills. Also, wow!, it is noisy in a rainstorm when trying to sleep. We have a metal roof at home and are familiar with rain noise. But this was to another level.

Your note about rain noise is also appreciated — the metal roof is part of the cabin’s design, but we recognize this can be more intense during heavier storms, and we’ll keep this in mind as we continue to improve guest comfort. Refreshing and secluded

Great location, easy check in, clean towels, clean kitchen and bathroom. The beds were super comfortable, heating and air conditioning were great. The living room sofa was not very comfortable, and the living room chairs were not comfortable either. The tv and fireplace were great. The hot tub could have been a little cleaner it seemed as if it needed some chemicals to have been added to the water. There were a lot of dead flies around the windows. The hot water tank didn’t provide enough hot water for the 3 of us to shower one after another, but it didn’t take long for it to warm up again. The refrigerator and the microwave lights were not working, and the refrigerator door didn’t close easily. There were left over logs from someone else’s fire that were too big to move, there was no source of wood or matches or lighter to light a fire.
