It was the perfect place for the family to relax and enjoy each other’s company. The pool was for sure the main gathering place. The grandkids loved the slide and diving board. The house is very unique and beautiful and we would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a relaxing stay at a wonderful place.

Charming Property, but Privacy and Comfort Fell ShortWe booked this home for a relaxing getaway and looked forward to the pool, hot tub, and sauna. The property has charm and great amenities, but some important details weren't disclosed.Although advertised as an entire home, it has interior doors marked “Host Family Space” opening into the guest living areas. We heard someone snoring behind one. The doors were locked from the host's side, but we couldn't secure them from ours. We have no evidence anyone entered our space, but this arrangement made it hard to feel fully private or secure. The biggest issue was the bedroom temperature. We both woke up overheated, and I was drenched in sweat. Our thermostat controlled only the common areas; the bedroom thermostat was in the adjoining host space and controlled remotely. Both the ceiling fan and floor fan were already running when more fan use was suggested. We joked about moving the bed into the living room just so we could control the AC! Kim was courteous and quick to adjust the temperature when asked, which we appreciated. Still, at this price point, adjoining host spaces should be disclosed, connecting doors should be securable from the guest side, and guests should control their bedroom temperature. The amenities are lovely, but privacy, security, and a comfortable night's sleep should come standard.

Thank you for your feedback and for acknowledging the charm and amenities of our property. We would like to clarify several important details for the benefit of future guests. First and foremost, our home is NOT a shared accommodation. As disclosed in our Vrbo listing, the hosts may occasionally stay on the property in their separate RV. Guests have exclusive access to all advertised bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, and amenities. One private bedroom and office are secured and excluded from the rental. To be absolutely clear, NO ONE was inside the home at any time during your stay. Neither private room was occupied, nor was anyone sleeping behind the adjoining doors. There is an ice maker in the private office that occasionally makes noise, which may explain what you heard. We would have gladly addressed this concern had it been brought to our attention during your stay. Regarding the bedroom temperature, our thermostat screenshot documents that the bedroom was measuring 70°F when we adjusted the cooling setting to 68°F at your request. Our guest guidebook specifically provides the host’s name and direct phone number with instructions to contact them for temperature adjustments. We responded promptly and were happy to accommodate your preference. We have also updated our listing to further clarify that the thermostat is remotely controlled. We take our guests’ privacy, security, and comfort very seriously. Our goal is to provide a peaceful, private retreat where guests can relax and enjoy the many amenities our home offers. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify these details and reassure future guests that their privacy is respected, their accommodations are exclusively theirs, and we are always available to assist with their comfort.

Everything was great however need to check the drain in the sauna room shower it doesn’t drain very good! Also the shower curtain rod in the other bath kept falling downThere were a couple lamps that need bulbs, in the room with king bed and lamp by sauna door, and the entry way light didn’t work I’m guessing the bulbs are out in that as well.Loved the house!

We stayed here while attending our sons wedding. We were busy most times so did not get to spend a lot of time at the home. The bedrooms were adequate, we could not figure out how to get AC to the bedroom part of the house, but a fan in the hallway provided the necessary cooling.

The property was everything listed in the description. The pool and jacuzzi area was very spacious , and very well kept. The house was clean and well stocked, kitchen has everything i would have needed if you wanted to cook a large meal. Check in was super easy, and the host responed quickly to any questions we had. 10 out of 10 would definitely return.

Perfect spot to view the eclipse

Observily, this large house has been expanded to include a sauna, a fully enclosed sun room, a pool with covered deck, and an enclosed hot tub which we enjoyed a few times. The house was comfortable and well equipped for our stay. The hosts were charming and accomodating.

Perfect amminities. Much enjoyed our stay for our son’s wedding weekend. Kids loved, nice host

Listing stated sleeping for 10. I counted only room for 8 unless couch is a sofa? We only had 7 so it didn’t affect us. Just something to be sure of if you need room for 10. I’m sure nice owner will explain

Waxahachie Staycation

We loved our stay! The house was just as pictured on the website. Our six and ten year old grandchildren loved the pool, whether it was in the four foot end coming down the slide or splashing in the ten foot end off of the diving board. The poolside changing room with shower and toilet was especially convenient. The beds were very comfortable. We grandparents appreciated the recliners in the living room and the high profile toilet in the half bath. The kitchen is fully equipped. The owners were very friendly, considerate and helpful. Since our house won’t accommodate out of town guests we are always on the lookout for a reasonably priced place to stay that’s not too far away.

We were low on choices when trying to book for the NHRA event just down the road in Ennis - when we came across this listing. There were VERY few reviews and I hesitated to book, but I'm glad we did. The house is old and solid, clean, and the neighborhood was very quiet. We were too busy to get to enjoy any of the amenities, but the rest of the house was extremely comfortable. I was able to finish up some last minute work on the big desk Friday morning before we left, and very easily made breakfasts and dinners in the well-stocked and very organized/labeled kitchen, and there's a smart tv in every room. We even got to make some steaks on the "grill" in the house, as there's a searing setup next to the fridge. Pretty cool, never seen this. The pool looked clean and inviting, and the new hot tub area was gonna be perfect.. I just wish we had gotten to use them.We had an issue with the a/c in the bedroom area - and when I reached out to the host I got a response, explanation, and solution within 15 minutes. We will be looking to book this property again next year, but this time we'll bring the kiddos so they can enjoy the pool!
