This dome, offering mountain views, is located along the Jacques-Cartier River. Just 30 minutes from the city and only a few minutes from many resort attractions, you can easily explore the city and enjoy the outdoors all in the same day! Whether you visit Village Vacances Valcartier, go rafting, or take a stroll through Old Quebec, your days will be filled with memorable experiences. In summer, the river is open for swimming and fishing, adding even more enjoyment to your stay on the property.
The Space:
Step into a little haven of peace. The back of the glass dome allows you to admire the surrounding nature, including the river, forest, and mountains. You can comfortably enjoy this view both from inside and outside on your private terrace. You will also appreciate the skylight, which allows the sun’s rays to naturally brighten the space.
The dome can accommodate 2 guests and features a queen-size bed. Bed linens are provided. A child can also stay as a third guest thanks to the small foldable mattress available on site (no bedding provided).
To prepare a small meal, you can use the portable BBQ and propane stove. You must bring your own propane bottle (small 16 oz Coleman-style). Cooking must be done outdoors, as open flames are prohibited inside.
For cooking, a propane stove, portable propane barbecue, cooking equipment (utensils, plates, pots, etc.), and drinking water are provided. You will need to bring your own cooler for your food, as there is no refrigerator. We also recommend bringing a flashlight for getting around in the evening.
Although there is an automatic indoor fireplace, we recommend bringing a pair of sandals or slippers as well as warm clothing for inside the dome to make your stay more comfortable.
Guest Access:
During the winter season, please avoid parking near the dome. Your vehicle may get stuck in the snow and require towing.
Other Things to Note:
The dome is located on the Vallée Jeunesse site, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping young people facing academic and/or social adjustment challenges. When you rent a dome, chalet, or house, you help support the organization’s mission: restoring hope to young people in need and helping them regain confidence in their abilities and their future!
Like a resort, the Vallée Jeunesse site features several other houses and chalets, gathering areas, access to the Jacques-Cartier River, and canoe rentals for you to enjoy.
Located in a natural setting, the river is just a few minutes’ walk away and does not have controlled access. Swimming and fishing are permitted during the summer.
Interaction with Guests:
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through the Airbnb messaging system between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. EST every day. You will receive a prompt response.
