About this property

The Little Gem on Bluegill Bay

The dock is in, the sand is raked, the kayaks and paddle boat are out. We are ready for SUMMER! The firepits are stocked with wood and those bonfire evenings are upon us! Completely updated 3 bedroom space with 2 full bathrooms. A cooks kitchen with everything you need to whip up gourmet meals during your stay. The hill gently slopes down to the lake, with a sugar sand area to swim, paddle boat, and two kayaks avail End of May-Sep. Sit at one of 2 firepits and enjoy the lake. We have an elegant master suite with a king bed, fireplace, tv, and a deep soaking tub. Washer and dryer on site, private dock space avail May-Oct., and a full private acre to enjoy.
We are excited to welcome the occasional guests to the cabin to share our little slice of heaven on Gull Lake. The fishing is fantastic and so is the bathtub. Kids are welcome and will love the sugar sand shallow shore line that is perfect for enjoying the water all afternoon. We provide a small selection of games, puzzles, and a dock they can catch fish off. Make sure you bring the rods! The nearest bait shops are in Blackduck and Turtle River so be sure to grab the bait on your way. I love to cook so you will find the kitchen stocked with new appliances, a small seasoning selection, leftover containers, small appliances, and a variety of utensils/cookware. If you want to take the cooking outside we have a charcoal weber. Don't worry we have a dishwasher too because VACATION! For outdoor adventures we have a fire pit, bocce ball, washer toss, yard dice, dominos, and 2 kayaks/adult lifejackets for guests to enjoy. Jump in a kayak and paddle out to the sandbar. There is always a group of pelicans to greet you along with ducks and loons. Enjoy your stay, stick your toes in the sugar sand, and catch some fish!

We had a very relaxing time at The Little Gem. We fished a little, we took our puppy out for a swim and a few jumps off the dock, and we spent quality time with family. No work for the time we spent there made it even better! Meghan was super responsive and we didn't have any issues.

We had to make a trip to Bemidji with our family for a birthday party. Our stay at The Little Gem was perfect. We didn't have time to take the kayaks out but loved enjoying the view from the dock, campfire and s'mores by the lake and the simple comfort of the house. Lovely Lake Home

My family loved our stay at this property. Having the lake right there was great for star gazing at night, taking the kayaks out to explore the lake and checkout the birds, and to splash around in. We also explored the surrounding area and can't say enough about how fun the Bemidji area is (my kids are already saying they miss it). After a day of playing and exploring, the house provided a comfortable home base to recharge and rest. Meghan, the host, was very communicative and thoughtful. I would highly recommend this place.

Great Labor Day Weekend at Gull Lake

Property was as described! Plenty of room for the 5 of us. Communication was great and the property was clean. Very close to the lake with private dock to put your boat. Kayaks on site with life jackets, etc. Air conditioning was turned on and cool upon our arrival. Two fire pits, one close to the cabin and the other closer to the water. Will definitely stay here again if I’m ever in the area! Thanks Meghan for the great experience for our family!

Perfection!

Everything we could have needed was provided. This was my first time doing something like this and it could not have been easier. All of my questions were answered in a timely fashion, all normal home accoutrements (cookware, towels, coffee, and even S'MORES!) were there, and they even provided enough wood for two nights worth of bonfires (which was a HUGE convenience for me so I didn't have to buy any). The whole process and stay was absolutely painless and I would absolutely choose to stay here anytime in the future!
