About this property
Granbury Lake Rustic Retreat on Quiet Cove
Undoubtedly one of the best locations on Lake Granbury, and just 4.6 miles from the historic Granbury Town Square and 16.6 from Fossil Rim Wildlife Park. Expansive lot on this quiet cove is the perfect place for families and friends to experience the ultimate lake vacation, with something for everyone. Wade, float, swim, kayak or canoe (both provided) in the cove, or bring your paddleboard or boat/jetski and enjoy hours of fun and excitement in the open lake. Relax, watch the ducks, fish or play on the large dock (with covered boat lift). Take advantage of the large lawn to play soccer, volleyball or play bocci. Enjoy fun conversation and smores around the large firepit in the evening.
With 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, this rustic cabin sleeps up to 17. Kids and teens will love their own upstairs bedroom equipped with double/twin bunk beds. The ample, fully-equipped kitchen and den/dining area offer beautiful views of the lake. But plan to take advantage of the large, partially covered patio for grilling and picnic-style meals. Two TVs and a DVD player are available for the few times you'll want to be indoors.

About the host
Hosted by Patti King

Our lakehouse has been our summer gathering place for 34 years, now being enjoyed by its 4th generation! We are a large family spread out over the US, and this home has enabled us all to stay close. We decided to share our home with others as a vacation rental over 10 years ago. Since then, we have enjoyed hundreds of groups, with some making their visit to our home on Comanche Cove their annual tradition.
Why they chose this property
Lake Granbury is one of the highest rated lakes in Texas. The town of Granbury is known for its historic square (on the National Register for Historic Places) and offers a mix of attractions including shops, restaurants, community events and live theater. We chose this home since it is just 40 minutes from Fort Worth and Arlington - which makes for a very easy getaway.
What makes this property unique
This lakehouse is on a cove which many locals claim is the best location on the lake. Unlike homes that front the main body of the lake, or narrow channels, this home is on a large but protected cove. As such, it is perfect for swimming, floating, paddle boarding and a variety of water activities. The lakehouse is "no frills" casual and comfortable - the way the lake is supposed to be experienced!. We have had 5 extended family reunions and numerous parties. The yard is sprawling and great for soccer games, volleyball, badminton and bocci. Exterior camera monitoring.
