This newly purchased home was built in 1990. It is a 3 bedroom 3 bath cabin is located 3 miles from Hackensack and 9 miles from Walker on beautiful Ten Mile Lake. The cabin is located on the Paul Bunyan Bike Trail which goes through the Chippawa National Forest. There are 3 championship golf courses within 15 miles of the cabin. The Northern Lights Casino with top name entertainers/shows is just 4 miles away. The Headwaters of the Mississippi River are located just 50 miles away at Itasca State Park. Enjoy great fishing just out your front door on Ten Mile Lake which is over 4500 acres, 208 ft deep, spring fed, with a variety of fish. (walleye, small mouth and large mouth bass, northern pike, sunfish, bluegills, and whitefish) Enjoy waterskiing, tubing, canoeing, and beautiful sunsets on your deck. There are tennis courts in both Walker and Hackensack for the avid players. There is great shopping just 7 miles away in Walker where you will find everything from small boutiques, restaurants, sporting goods stores, antique stores, flee markets, brewery, and casinos.

A great private spot!

We truly enjoyed staying in this home while enjoying a very calm 10 Mile Lake for 4 days. Craig makes sure everything is good and wants your stay to be the best it can be. We loved the area and will return again someday.

Our experience was nothing short of amazing. Craig the home owner was friendly, accommodating and easy to work with. The cabin had everything we were looking for. The location was easy to find and near the casino,.restaurants and attractions. And the lake was beautiful. Looking forward to staying again soon.

The location was great with a beautiful view! The house was perfect for me and my husband and our friends. Initially we planned on trailering our boat to fish on Leech Lake. No need to, the fishing on Ten Mile Lake was awesome!!

12 days of bliss. The house was as described and was perfect on every way. Our only drawback was the steps down to lake it would have been better with handrail to negotiate steps

We loved this lake home! It was right on the bike trail. We were able to bike into both Hackensack and Walker. Great shopping and dining in Walker and a fabulous bar in Hackensack. Everything you need was provided!

When we all entered the house we were all in awe of the beauty! The huge windows overlooking 10 mile lake were amazing! The detail with the decor and furniture was a conversation in itself! Craig was very easily reached and answered any questions we had! Everything we needed was there. Very nice long weekend too to bottom!

It’s an easily accessible location on a beautiful, clean lake. The house was clean and well kept.

We had a great week on Happiness Lane. The house layout was perfect for our family’s needs. Our grandchildren enjoyed tubing on this quiet little corner of Ten Mile Lake. Craig was accommodating and helpful when we had trouble with our boat. We could easily make a grocery run in to nearby Hackensack and the Paul Bunyon Trail was right out our backdoor. Of course, the best part was. The loon concert that started every evening at 10:00.

Wonderful!

My husband and I wanted some time to get away on a lake, and this place was perfect! The cabin is very close to the lake, with easy access down a few stairs to the dock. We spent a lot of time hanging out on the large deck in the comfortable chairs, and my husband fished off of the dock. The cabin is supplied with everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to extra blankets and towels. The beds and furniture are very comfortable. In the evenings, we curled up on the reclining sofa and watched movies (hundreds of channels available). The owner, Craig, was extremely helpful, from checking in to see if we needed anything to recommending local restaurants. Highly recommend this place!

Had two very warm days, then fall set in. Heard and saw loons while sitting on the deck. Beautiful lake view. Close to shopping and dinning.

Beautiful Cabin with great fishing

This is one of the best cabin's we have been to!! The cabin was decorated beautifully. Our host was out of state during our stay and had a neighbor greet us. The neighbor was so kind and hospitable! He showed us all the best fishing spots on the lake. We rented a boat during our stay and were catching fish non-stop. The view from the back deck was stunning and so peaceful. There were plenty of dishes, linens and utensils. Good privacy at this spot.

Location and View

The location was perfect - beautiful lake views and 100 yards from the bike trail. Fantastic bike trails lead to Chippewa National Forest, Walker, Hackensack and more. Home was exceptionally clean.

My wife and I were born and raised in Southern Minnesota. We both went to college in Minnesota but have since relocated to Naples, FL. My wife grew up helping her parents run a resort on Ten Mile Lake and she has been coming up to the lake since the day she was born! We bought our first property on Ten Mile Lake in 1980. We have enjoyed coming up to the lake ever since and now have purchased another piece of property across the lake. We love the lake experience and would like others to have the same opportunity.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property in Dec. of 2012. We fell in love with the location on the lake with beautiful sunsets. The property has the lake out the front door and the Paul Bunyan Bike Trail out the back. My wife has been on the lake since the late 1950s and she would never be anywhere else in the summer.

What makes this property unique

You will enjoy sitting on the large deck over looking the lake. You have a panoramic view of the lake and you are just steps away from a sandy beach, boat dock, and 1850 lb lift.
