ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! COMPLETE SCAM!
Absolute worst experience a person could have!!!! For both the COMPANY (VRBO) AND THE LYING “HOST” who was supposed to be “Andrea” but turned out to be some random man named “Raul”. Received emails for MONTHS (we booked in FEBRUARY!!!!) up to our stay for my college graduation! Literally until the day before but when we got there we were never given a code to get into the property, when trying to contact the host we got NO RESPONSE, reached out to VRBO and they verified our reservation and also tried to contact the “host” while we were on hold waiting for them to contact the “host” I got a text from a random number on my PERSONAL phone saying the location was double booked and the other guests where already there (THE PLACE WAS EMPTY) and that they would contact Vrbo to issue a refund which NEVER HAPPENED! Next Vrbo basically told us we were stranded and they weren’t even going to help us… they so very “kindly” paid for one night at a hotel and we were left to PAY FOR THE OTHER TWO NIGHTS OUT OF OUR OWN POCKETS after already dropping over a grand on this scam of a location!!! They told us to give them 24 hours and then they would start the refund, when we called 24 hours later they basically told us they had to do an “investigation” first.. FOR WHAT?!?! WE NEVER GOT TO STAY AT THE LOCATION!!!! Thank god for my bank being understanding and taking actions on the company from this point forward. While also on the phone with Vrbo for over TWO HOURS they hung up on us three times.
