Having stayed in condos at Oceans Edge multiple times before, I felt disappointed in this particular unit. While the location was great, there were several issues with our stay. First, the front door was wide open when we arrived and one of the bedroom doors was shut and locked so we couldn’t get in. My biggest complaint is that the sliding glass door to the back of the house did not lock. As a group of three females, this felt very unsafe. We found a piece of wood the put in the slider’s track so that it could t be opened from the outside, but feel that should not have happened. Functioning door locks seem like a bare minimum to be expected when spending money to stay on vacation. Additionally, there were many broken or non-functional items in the house. Two of the five dining chairs were visibly broken and unusable, none of the lamps in the living room worked, the blind in the front bedroom did not go up, a cabinet in the kitchen didn’t close at all, etc. I have made it a habit of choosing Ocean’s Edge properties for my Cape vacations because the quality has been consistent to good, but after this stay, I am inclined to look elsewhere next time. The lack of functioning locks was unacceptable. This unit was overall in need of fixing and an overall update. I am left feeling disappointed.
