Dear guest, Thanks for sharing your concern. I’d like to clarify a few things based on the facts and data that have been collected and verified with the local management. 1. Pool has been serviced consistently every week. The last four service dates in December are Dec. 10th, 17th, 22nd, and 30th. The pool contractor comes to maintain the pool without interrupting guests and sends a picture to the management everytime when they finish. My management forwarded me the dated pictures. The pool in these pictures looks clean. 2. On the day you called my manager, you left her a voice message at 12:28pm and she responded at 12:37pm. The pool contractor went to solve the problem that same day in the afternoon. My manager also made a follow up phone call later on. Since she didn’t hear back from you, she assumed you were satisfied. You didn’t call the owner (me) as you described in the review. You actually emailed me from Vrbo. I replied by email at night to follow up with you after I confirmed the status with my manager. Since I didn’t hear back from you either, I had the same assumption that the issue has been solved properly and timely. 3. For the spa, you called the manager mentioning “it got hot but didn’t bubble much” on Dec.18th when you checked in. The manager himself went to replace the filter and it was all set then. During your four weeks stay, this is the only time I heard from you about the spa. So did my management. If you had told us the spa had another problem, they would go fix it right away. 4. My managers didn’t receive any messages from you on the office line. Both managers’ cell numbers are listed in the guest book. One manager responded within 15 minutes after you called. The other manager went to fix things on the site when they heard your concern. Given my experience of working with them for many years and the feedback from other guests, I have to disagree with your comments of “unresponsive management”. 5. The foil is for sun blocking purposes and is hidden behind the vertical blinds. You may not notice but the curtain rods have been installed on top of each window frame. The curtain panels are ready and we are waiting for an open slot to install them. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Hi Margret, We are sorry to hear that your experience was not perfect. To clarify the issues you brought up: 1.The dishwasher functions well. I was shocked when you described it as "partially broken" because this is a brand new stainless steel Samsung just installed this year. So the management made a special trip to check the dishwasher and it works perfectly. The zip tie you mentioned probably was from the delivery to keep the cutlery tray from moving. 2.By arriving on October 22nd, you have stayed in the villa for four weeks. If you had questions on little things such as fan control or side lamp, we wish you had called us immediately. The contact info is in the manual and we emailed it to you in advance. Landline is also available at the villa for guests to call. If you were not satisfied with the overall cleanness, we wish you had brought it to our attention instantly. We are more than happy to fix it in real time when you stay at the villa, not after. 3. Unfortunately the pool heater was found broken during the last week of your stay. The management tried the best to solve the problem asap. The heater and gas pipe replacement was completed at least a couple days before you check out. We apologize for any inconvenience it caused. Hi David, The guest who arrived the day after you brought the AC issue to our attention. By changing the cooling fans in the condenser, the problem was fixed right away. If anything happened during your stay, please let us know asap when you are there. We'll try the best to fix it or replace it asap. It can be hard sometimes to notice the problem until someone stays there overnight. A timely feedback from the guest families is always greatly appreciated. Thanks! Joanne M.K.

Hi Jerry, As I explained in my email (right after the pool was cleaned), the pool team had some sick absence during the week and was slightly behind on their schedule. They went there on Saturday to catch up and I emailed you to follow up. You have stayed at the villa for a month and the pool has been maintened weekly . For the most of the time of the entire February, we surely hope you enjoyed the clean heated pool. Sorry for the one and half day limited usage. Things happen from time to time. Your comprehension and patience will be greatly appreciated. For the sofa, my manager has stopped by and identified the condition as non-fixable. So we moved on looking for a replacement. A new top grain leather sofa will be delivered to the house on March 23rd. Due to the long leadtime on furniture market these days, the new sofa missed the chance to serve your family. But this is what we have done to solve the problem. For the cleaning, if you can be more specific on what we need to do, we'd be happy to fix it. If you had called the management or me DURING your stay to share your concern about the wear& tear or overall cleanliness, we could have sent the crew to do it for you. I could have offered a mid-month cleaning service for free. Your comments or feedback is always appreciated when you were there. Thanks!
