This is such a great spot to be a home base to explore the high country! The house was spacious with plenty of room and amenities. We always appreciate a pet friendly rental! We’ll definitely be back!

The view is incredible! We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Thankfully pets are allowed and our dog had a great time surveying the area from the deck.

My daughter and I chose this rental because of the great location, we could bring her dog, the amazing view, and in a small way could contribute to the economy of the area as they continue to recover from Helene! We were celebrating my turning 75 yo last October and she turned 50 yo 6 months later! We chose this October to hopefully catch the Fall colors and we weren't disappointed! The house had all the essentials though we did replace an unusable spatula in the kitchen and bought a couple of inexpensive pans to accommodate heating up some pizza in the oven. We thoroughly enjoyed the area of Boone, Banner Elk, Sugar Mountain, and Grandfather mountain including the Wilderness Alpine Run in Banner Elk (try it is was fun for any age!!). We did choose to return to the rental before dark so we didn't have to navigate the many hairpin turns in the dark!!! We highly recommend the Honey Bear House!

Great, cute, cozy cabin with a beautiful view. It’s bigger than the pics online look. Quiet neighborhood close to all attractions and towns. If you need to work or want to watch a movie at night, WiFi was super slow with constant buffering and failure. Host is friendly, communicative and quick to respond. Other than the WiFi, we loved it.

Owners were very accommodating, property was clean and nice! Great view! The hot tub took some time to warm up, but once it did, it was absolutely wonderful. Owners were easy to reach and very responsive. Great hiking less than a minute drive away!

This place is a gem. We enjoyed the wonderful view and waking up for the sunrise is a must do when you're here. The location was perfect. Lots of great places to eat around Banner Elk and close to Grandfather Mountain if you're looking for a challenging hike. The house was spacious and I appreciate it being dog friendly. We had a wonderful time!

We loved our time at The Honey Bear!! The cutest cabin with every comfort we needed!! Can’t wait to stay again! If you stay, check out Otter Falls hiking trail! Matt was incredibly responsive to any messages before and during our stay! ❤️

Beautiful views from porch and hot tub

Overall this is a great stay in the mountains. Close to hiking trails and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin has everything you need. The owner is extremely responsive and answers messages right away! I only gave it 4 stars because some aspects of the cabin were worn and need updating.

Great way to beat the heat in summer

This place had everything needed to enjoy a get away weekend in the mountains. Great views. Easy drives to Banner Elk, Grandfather mountain winery, Appalachian parkway, several good hiking opportunities to waterfalls. Very enjoyable.
