Islander Beach Resorts have access to one of Okaloosa Island's largest gulf-side pools, a shuffleboard court, and a barbeque grill area. A quick stroll across the boardwalk puts you right on the beach! All guests have Free High-Speed Internet access in their unit, as well as wireless Internet access in our lobby.
Islander Beach Resort has a two vehicle limit.
The pool is heated the week of Thanksgiving and beginning the week of Christmas until March 31st.

Not sure if a toilet backed up at some point or not, but there was a faint urine smell in that bedroom. Could use some additional cooking pans. Seemed limited. Updated patio furniture would be a plus. Seems old and was uncomfortable to sit in.

It was very clean, in fact the whole building was very well maintained and clean. The condo itself had everything to make our stay comfortable. We stayed there 2 weeks and it felt just like we were at home. The beach chairs were a plus and the pool was beautiful. I have no complaints and would recommend this condo to anyone. Also lots of great eateries around. Even took advantage of the free activities the condo had to offer.

Reviewer Comments: sofa bed was broken-i have been here since 15dec 10-still not fixed.they sent someone to fix it today-cannot be repaired-has to be replaced-no cooperation from mnagement "damp rid" was on a shelf in the closet, fell all over my clothes-very bad.

Our maintenance team did try their best to fix this however as they were unable fix the owners did go ahead and replace this sleeper sofa, they have also had all new drapes installed on the ocean side windows! Amazing Beach Week

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked. We had perfect weather the week we were there. The beach was very nice. It was not crowded at all. The people seated around us were very friendly. The only problem we had was a family that set up all of their umbrellas (4 plus all their chairs) in front of the rental beach chairs. Our beach attendant told them they could not do that anymore. Then it was like a dare. So they did it again the next day and would not move behind the chairs where they should set up. This was a minor problem. We will definitely be returning next year.

Nice Condo - Recommended!!

5 Women traveling ages 45 - 80 range. Pros: 1. on 3rd floor 2. Super Clean 3. Location is great - we have been coming to this complex for 10 years but first with this condo 4. Immediate response from B & S when I sent question 5. Had all the immediate need sundries when we arrived 6. Clear instructions 7. Plenty of cooking supplies 8. Overall recommend Cons: 1. Reason for loss of 1 star - one THIN pillow per head - not comfortable at all and no extras to try to help level our heads. 2. NO extra blankets - 1 person on the king bed needed extra cover but there was none - we had to go get one 3. there is a wall on the west side of the balcony that completely blocks the sunrise - not a deal breaker but we really missed seeing the sunrise from balcony

A little lacking on glasses and blankets/linens but Brooks and Shorey tried to accomodate. The Condo is NOT what I thought we were getting, as I had stated we wanted 2 DOUBLE beds in second bedroom; so that was very disappointing. Tried to get some type of refund on that was was told no. We ended up buying a blow up queen size bed to put in living room to satisfy our needs. The sofa bed was just not comfortable for two adults.

The bathtubs are pretty nasty. Half the light bulbs were out. The cleaning people do not clean very well. There was left over eaten candy on the dresser.

Nice but not for us

Overall the stay was fine, but the cleanliness of the property needs to be looked into. We called the first day about an issue and they were prompt at sending someone out. But the place needs a thorough deep cleaning. I bought my own supplies to clean bathrooms because I just didn’t feel like they were up to standard. The carpet either needs to be deep cleaned or replaced. The AC unit didn’t work but they also sent someone out right way to fix it. The resort was doing repairs snd shut down the main boardwalk from the pool to the beach. From the other boardwalk you didn’t have access to wash your feet or beach chairs, toys, etc. without walking around through the garage to the pool to rinse at that shower. Very inconvenient. The resort itself could use some updates and cleaning. We’ve been going to Ft. Walton for years but will find a different place to stay in the future.

Everything was great! The only thing I would recommend is to have extra pillowcases for the pillows on the pullout. The view and beach was amazing! Will definitely stay again.

Excellent property with a beautiful pool!

Beautiful, well-equipped kitchen made it easy to cook and clean up meals. The kids loved the pool and the beach with an umbrella and chairs set up every day. Will be back!

Once for covid, another for hurricane Sally. The only changes I would make to the condo is new carpet or flooring in the bedroom and the location of the Brooks and Shorey office was hard to find.
