Located in the heart of the Victorian village of Knowlton (inspiration for Louise Penny's Books fictional village of Three Pines), this spacious apartment located on the 2nd floor of an ancestral house is completely renovated. Adjacent to the Lac-Brome Theater and facing Coldbrook Park and the Moulin Pond, this location is the ideal starting point to meet artisans, food producers, traders and taste local products. Beautiful stroll or bike rides are guaranteed. Lac-Brome and its beach are a 15-minute walk away. And while walking through the village, you can discover ancestral houses, on which signs have been installed to inform you of their stories.
About the apartment
Spacious 31/2, well lit and completely renovated in January 2023, with a modern, warm, clean and comfortable design.
The apartment is on the second floor of a beautiful ancestral house. The door to the apartment is at the bottom of the stairs. So for young children, it is recommended to bring a safety gate to put at the top of the stairs, while being careful to the wall.
A large closed bedroom is at your disposal, equipped with a half-bathroom (sink and toilet) and a Queen size bed with a new Douglas mattress. The bedroom is located on one side of the house and it is very quiet at night. Another full bathroom, equipped with a glass shower, is accessible from the living room.
The living room offers a sofa to accommodate two additional people.
The open-concept kitchen is equipped with a bar counter, stove with oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, blender, filter coffee maker as well as everything you need to cook and receive at the table easily 6 to 8 people.
The accommodation is equipped with a washer and dryer at your disposal.
A private balcony is also accessible on the 1st floor, with a view of the main street and the center of the village. In summer, rest chairs will be at your disposal.
Internet Wi-Fi is included. The internet connection may sometimes fluctuate or disconnect momentarily. This usually comes back quickly, otherwise please contact us.
A *Smart* TV of 46 inches, in the living room, will allow you to connect to your Netflix account. A Blue Ray/DVD/CD player and speakers are at your disposal. There TV cable is included (TV channels).
The entrance is composed of a closed portico, shared with a medical clinic in aesthetic care located on the first floor. A private staircase leads you to the apartment on the second floor. The medical office closes at 5 p.m., ensuring you have a completely private atmosphere in the evening.
Ample parking is available behind the building.
The house is located on a busy road during the day. But in the evening and at night, it is quiet. It is next to the Knowlton Pub which offers restaurant services. It closes at 4 p.m. on weekdays and 9 p.m. on weekends. The Lac-Brome Theater and the public market on Saturday mornings are behind the parking lot.
Storage: There are several wardrobes available in the room, with ample space to store your suitcases and clothes. An additional wardrobe is also available at the entrance of the kitchen.
Pets are not accepted.
