About this property
Clough · Quaint Cottage on Clough
This house is a small quaint getaway for you and your loved ones to relax for a few nights and enjoy some peace and quiet. This completely remodeled space is fully equipped with everything you need to cook full meals and take a hot shower. Sip your favorite drink in the beautiful bright sunporch or cozy up at night to watch a movie in the Netflix room with a bowl of popcorn. Located in Superior but only a few minutes from everything Duluth has to offer. Free wifi and off street parking.
This is an older remodeled home in the north side of Superior. This space is about 500 square ft with the layout of a studio apartment but is a stand alone home with a large front yard.
There will be construction during 2021-2023 on the Blatnik Bridge that comes from Duluth so you will want to take the Bong Bridge on the West Side if you are coming from Minnesota. This will save you some confusing detours. There is free street parking which changes sides every Sunday but there is also a one stall car port in the alley.
This space is co-hosted by Madison and Taylor and they are available 24/7 for anything you might need during you stay.
This cute little home is nestled in the North End neighborhood of Superior WI. You will only be a 2 minutes from the Blatnik Bridge which connects you to Duluth MN. Just a few steps north and you'll find a long time local breakfast cafe called the Kitchen. This is a quiet working class neighborhood with lots of history and great neighbors.
You are free to park on the street in front of the house but most guests will want to park in the back alley in the carport. The carport can usually only fit one car comfortably. Hwy 53 is only a few blocks north. From there you can go south (right) and explore Wisconsin or head north (left) and get on the bridge to Minnesota. No shoes on in the house. Do not go in the basement. No Candles!

This place is the perfect, quiet and cozy getaway. The house had a carport that came in handy with the 15 inches of snow we had during our stay. Most places in Duluth/Superior are only a few minutes away and everyone in the area was super nice. The host was respectful and polite. We made amazing memories with this place and will definitely book this again!
Everything was stocked and loaded, comfortable towels, a nice little note beautiful touches!! We had a great time. I highly recommend you’re wasting your money at a hotel.:) great place!!
We appreciated how easy check-in and check-out were, how clean and tidy the house was, and the ease of communication. It's so nice to have a private space with all the essentials, including a full kitchen, and within such a reasonable distance of surrounding attractions.
Check in was easy with the lock box. Was great to have a kitchen. Bathroom and house overall was smaller than I anticipated but it worked out because of the trundle bed. Im happy I brought salt but forgot the pepper. Would be nice to have some packets in the kitchen. Cute and clean place overall.
The property was great for us as we just needed a place to stay that was clean and close to everything we wanted to do in Duluth. This offered all of that. We felt comfortable and the hosts were lovely.
It was very nice. Really lives up the name, quaint. It was nearby to everything we wanted to do(Canal Park, ship tours. Etc) the owners take good care of the place and made us feel right at home.

There could have been more air flow. We opened the front door for a breeze to come through, because the porch windows were painted shut. That allowed flies to enter. We had to go to the Dollar General to buy a fly swatter. It would have been nice to know that you need to find the alley to get to the lockbox and the carport area.We did enjoy ourselves once we figured those things out!
This was a cute little house to stay in. Close to serval restrants and bars. Just a hop, skip, and jump over a bridge to Canal park in Duluth. Perfect place to stay and visit the local sites!!! 10 out 10!!!
Clear communication from booking in early May to our stay in mid July. We were welcomed with a cute card and chocolate. We both found the bed extremely comfortable. I appreciated that we had plenty of extra towels. We would definitely stay again when visiting the area.
Clean and comfortable beds. Need more lighting in the kitchen. Needs a couple of comfortable chairs instead of the black stiff chair in front of the bed.?

Property owners are very friendly, and the property is good overall, and I would come here again. Very competitive price for other options in Duluth. As mentioned in other reviews, the HVAC is rather loud, so this might not be a good fit for someone who is a light sleeper.
This home is owned by a company with several properties in the area. The host communicated with us daily. However there are several things that could be improved upon.We arrived around 5pm in December so it was dark. The carport and entry were not shoveled and the exterior light wasn't on. So we fumbled with keys and cell phone flashlights in frigid temps. We entered the house to a tiny half moon rug and there was no light switch to be found. Its on a small string on a ceiling light that we couldn't access until we took off our shoes.Once inside the home was warm with plenty of pillows, nice bedding and almost sufficient kitchen items. There were 2 forks and only big spoons. No teaspoons. There is also a Keurig and not a coffee pot, but they did have off brand K-cups. The microwave is on top of the full size fridge so we had to stand on a chair to use it.The floors are extremely uneven and some of the floor boards have broken edges, making it easy to catch a sock or slipper on. There were plenty of towels but no hand soap in the small bathroom and the mirror was over a vent and barely hanging on the wall. The shower is tiny. The bed was wonderfully firm but the TV a bit low to watch from the bed.And yes, as other reviews had mentioned the furnace is extremely loud! Its sounds like you're inside a plane taking off. But the whole house was warm. The location is quiet and just a bridge crossing to downtown Duluth. Very convenient.
First off, the property manager was VERY nice, helpful, and communicative. Secondly, there were many cute details that made this property charming. Everything was clean, there were plenty of towels, the water pressure was awesome and there was even shampoo / conditioner / body wash in the shower. There was coffee & creamer & a Keurig provided, and a tea kettle (but no tea bags, which was fine because I brought my own.)
Now the bad: The bed was so awful. It sloped toward the head and to the middle. I had to sleep with my head where my feet normally go but I still sloped inward. Also, it was very warm and there was no way to adjust the temp (that I could find.) The one window with a screen that was able to be opened had a slit on the screen all the way along the bottom. The heater also was VERY loud. I had a terrible night's sleep, and ended up finding somewhere else to stay for my second night.
I've communicated all this to the property manager, and she reassured me that she would fix all the things that were hard, so hopefully it will be better when YOU go to stay!
