We really enjoyed our stay. House was very clean, spacious, and well-appointed. Beds were comfortable, and neighborhood was quiet. Easy check-in and check-out, and host was very responsive. Walkable to Budweiser Brewery and a couple of breakfast restaurants, and an easy drive to many attractions. Easy vehicle park on the street in front of the house. We would love to stay here again during our next trip to St. Louis!
The kitchen was gorgeous especially the island. Everything we needed to make a gourmet meal was already there. The beds were comfy, the couches too. The host was easy to work with and sent a very detailed list of area attractions, shops and restaurants. It was a perfect getaway for us.
Great location. The house is very beautiful with amazing amenities. Excellent communication with property manager. We really enjoyed our stay at this property.
Great location, a little musty older home but with a lot of modern additions. Host was very nice and helpful.Overall nice experience and I would stay there again.
It was a great house for our family of 5 to spread out after full days of activities around St. Louis. Its location made it easy to get to many sites with quick access to the interstate. We enjoyed the restaurant across the street our first night when we were too tired to go out and find anything and the food was delicious.
This place was phenomenal. Easily walkable to anything you need, quiet neighborhood, and a clean, comfortable location. Matei was incredibly responsive, very helpful, and prompt. I would absolutely book this spot again in the future.
Excellent location for easy travel to local destinations (zoo, botanical gardens, Grant’s Farm, etc). Comfortable beds and nice layout for our family to relax and enjoy a meal together after sightseeing. Great communication with the host making the stay easy and enjoyable. We would stay again at this home if visiting St. Louis again.
We traveled to St. Louis with our grown kids and their signature others for a Cardinals game. The location was great and walkable, or a short drive, to many restaurants and nightlife. The check-in was so easy and our host checked-in with us to see if we needed anything. Loved the neighborhood with the antique stores and thrift shops. We would stay here again!
Great location for visiting Arch cardinals stadium etc. Walkable to Budweiser brewery for tours and cold beer. Nice back patio. Lots of stairs so be tough ha. Great communication with friendly courteous owner.
This is the perfect property for touring St. Louis! We were easily able to navigate the city from the home. The neighborhood was great and there were tons of great food options within walking distance. The home was spacious and beautifuly decorated. There is plenty of on street parking. The host was super responsive and very helpful in providing recommendations.

Great place! Nice neighborhood
Had a great stay and the property is great! Had an issue checking in but was partially refunded for that issue!
Would recommend
Plenty of street parking and a good location with a few bars, restaurants, and a coffee shop within walking distance. The kitchen was stocked with all the appliances and utensils for cooking, but was missing coffee grounds as listed in the description. The floors and carpet were very dirty and the bedrooms were a bit warm, but the reat of the house was nice and cozy.
Lovely period house in a stylish and vibrant area with boutique shops, bars and coffee shops , Just 3 miles from the Arch. Good local buses for 1 per ride. Matei couldn’t have helped us more as a host. A stay that will linger long in the memory.
The house was comfortable and well maintained. Beds were comfortable and I loved the rain shower. Good water pressure. We would definitely recommend staying here.
The place is very nice and the host is very responsive and attentive. The kitchen, dining room, and outdoor space are nice gathering spots for family or friends and the beds were all comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
We were very happy with the home and even utilized the outdoor space. House was close to everything we chose to do while in St. Louis and we had a fantastic time!
Loved the location, walkable to so many fun places and on a nice quiet street. Our code didn't work on check in but host sent us a new one (that worked) within minutes. Some quirks that come with an old house and building, but otherwise very clean and comfortable. Would recommend!
Very Clean. Nice comfortable beds. All the conveniences needed. Very pleasant experience.

About the host
Hosted by Matei Stroescu
I lived in St. Louis for years and fell in love with the city's architecture and history. Though I'm no longer local, I stay connected through hosting—it's a way to share what makes STL special with visitors. I'm hands-off but responsive, so you'll have privacy with quick support if you need it.
Why they chose this property
I lived in Benton Park myself. It's walkable, beautiful, and oozes history—St. Louis's largest historic district with tree-lined streets and 19th-century brick homes. Cherokee Antique Row is steps away, Soulard is a short walk, and it has that rare mix of urban energy and neighborhood calm.
What makes this property unique
Three bedrooms, with multiple bathrooms—hard to find and makes all the difference for groups or families. The fenced backyard with deck and pergola is a real highlight; guests consistently love having outdoor space to unwind. Add the walkable location and you've got a home base, not just a place to sleep.
