This is a wonderful old house close to downtown that has clearly been restored with love. Impeccably clean, comfortable and the kitchen was easy to cook in. Communication was great with Amber and she was most helpful in meeting an unexpected need. I would highly recommend staying here and I hope to again someday.
The Indigo House was the perfect choice for our girls getaway. Beautifully decorated old home with plenty of gathering spaces and a great location right near all the sights, shops and restaurants!
We only came to Hannibal for an overnight family event and the Indigo House was perfect for our 4 adult couples. The house was spacious and beautiful. Hope to stay again.
We were in town for a family get together and this house was perfect. The kids had somewhere to watch tv and hang out while the adults could sit and talk. Very nicely decorated and cozy.
The home was beautiful, perfect location for our golf outing. Only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the house and do a little shopping in the downtown area!! Thanks for your hospitality!!!
6 girl friends having a fun evening ,took in the night Christmas parade and then chilled back at the house having a fun evening of games an old movie and lots of interesting conversation. The home was exquisitely decorated for the holidays. Thank you for sharing your home with us
Beautiful property with plenty of space. Comfy beds, big rooms, plenty of towels, coffee, water, candy. Walkable to downtown. Great communication with host. Quiet street. Loved our time at the Indigo House and will book again.
I felt like we were using a friends home while they were away! The little extra things like a bowl of candy made us feel welcome. Thank you for a great place to stay for our special weekend.
We loved the house! Beautifully decorated, spacious, and comfortable. We also really appreciated the coffee station and bottles of water. You thought of everything! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
The Indigo House was amazing. We enjoyed our time there with family celebrating a 60th birthday. The rooms are spacious and the separate living quarters was a bonus. Our only suggestion would be to have a king bed downstairs that is easier to get into. Thank you for an amazing stay at Indigo!
While traveling through the area we wanted a charming place to rest. We had three adult couples. We were overwhelmed with the beauty and space of this property. Excellent use of the rooms, tastefully decorated, and comfortable beds and furnishings. Room to relax. Limited bathroom space (but creative adaptation for a historic home). Each couple had comfortable quarters and gathering areas. We loved our stay in this beautiful home and wished we had scheduled extra time here. Definitely recommend
I booked the Indigo house for a girls getaway weekend // bachelorette trip. The house was amazing, spacious, clean, and welcoming. The dining room table and living room are both huge - perfect for entertaining.
I would absolutely book this house again. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful with providing ideas and things to do in town.
Home was very nice. Beds were comfy. Kitchen was missing some supplies to actually cook in and knives were very dull. Had some four legged visitors leave surprises in some kitchen drawers.
Family gathered from east, west, and middle US for my father’s memorial and stayed in several different places. This was a joyous gathering as he had lived a good long life leaving us with many happy memories to share. We had Saturday dinner at Indigo house which easily accommodated the 25-30 of us for a pot luck buffet of bbq burgers, salmon and oven baked short ribs finished on the grill. The huge table and long benches really made a difference as we brought a bench and kitchen chairs to the living room for conversation and reminiscing while the kids had a great time playing upstairs. For those needing respite from the joyous chaos, the little sitting room off the kitchen was ideal. It was just a short 6-7 block walk downtown to Java Jive’s 25th anniversary street celebration with live music. A Saturday cruise on the Mark Twain Riverboat provided an additional relaxing and interesting venue for our large group. There are numerous shops downtown for a wide range of tastes. We stumbled upon the Hannibal Arts Council on the way. It is on Main between Church and Broadway. They have a gallery displaying/selling the work of many wonderful local artists. Everyone we met along the way was pleasant and welcoming. All in all a perfect place!!
This place is it! We loved staying here. Hannibal is a lovely place, and I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere while here. Plenty of space, beautiful decor and history. The only odd part is we never spoke to the property manager. Not even a response when we sent messages. Not a deal breaker, everything was fine, we never needed anything. It was just odd. We’d definitely stay again.
Hannibal for a Hero's Surprise Welcome Home @ the Indigo House
We were in town for Flight #73's Return Home from DC for the Great River Honor Flight.
The property served as a perfect "landing spot" for many that were staying with family in Hannibal to meet and greet and have brunch and walks to the Farmer's Market and all the Lovely Quaint Boutiques just Downtown and to Java Jive and for Dinner on the River @ the Brewery. We truly had a wonderful experience! We never even needed to reach out to the hosts because everything was perfect! It all went off without a hitch! I highly recommend the Indigo House for all your family VRBO needs while in Hannibal!
The one drawback was the slighty sketchy neighbors just across from the front door. Comings and goings at all hours and individuals sitting in their cars for hours at a time. I would have parked in the back, but needed easy entry in and out of the house onto the front porch with fewer steps.
Overall - we had a wonderful stay! Thanks. We would stay there again!
Our family has been coming here for the last few years to celebrate Thanksgiving with my mother. It has been a wonderful place to celebrate the holidays. There is enough room for everyone to spread out and we have been able to put together great meals for the group. We enjoy being close to downtown. We plan to continue coming here for the holidays.
A beautiful old house with charm. The master does not get real dark, so if you want a darker room, go to the bedroom upstairs at the front. There are a few little steps at the lip of the upstairs bathroom, that you need to be careful not to trip, especially at night, but everything was as advertised and perfect.
Niece came from Utah, Mom from Colorado, son & family from Coffey, MO and we are from Gentry. We absolutely loved the house and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. We will definitely rent again.
We really enjoyed this beautiful home and shopping in town. Local restaurants were very good. Lots of laughs and we loved spending time together. Beautifully decorated home!
