Welcome to My Happy Place, located in the peaceful Burnt Store area of NW Cape Coral.

Enjoy our southern-exposure lanai, featuring a heated saltwater pool and shaded area for relaxation. This outdoor space is perfect for entertaining, complete with a gas grill, outdoor TV, dining table and ample seating within a screened-in pool cage—your ideal outdoor living room!

The heart of the home includes a fully equipped kitchen, equipped with all the essentials, including glass top range, microwave, large refrigerator, dishwasher, tableware, plastic ware, cookware, Crockpot, blender, coffee makers (drip & pod) and more for your convenience.

The private master suite offers a king-sized bed, large smart TV, high coffered ceiling with remote control fan, walk-in closet, and an elegant bathroom. The two guest bedrooms are located in a separate hallway with access to their own bathroom, ensuring privacy. Each bedroom is equipped with a smart TV, ceiling fan, closet and full-sized dresser and a chair.

Our quiet neighborhood is a short drive from Matlacha, Pine Island, and Punta Gorda for shopping and dining. Sanibel Island and Fort Myers Beach are under an hour away. Enjoy easy access to major roads and local amenities like Publix and Farmer Joe's, all within ten minutes. Additionally, we're conveniently located near regional airports, including Southwest Florida International Airport and Punta Gorda Airport.

We lived in this home for approximately two years, and it has always been a cozy, clean, and comfortable space. Now, our adult children and their families, friends, and guests enjoy using it as well. We hope you will you will too!

We hope you enjoyed your visit. Please be sure to gather all personal items before departure, check closets, dressers and under beds; anywhere you might have left your belongings.
Please empty refrigerator/freezer of all opened food items. We are happy to keep food and drinks that are in unopened packages. Please remove all garbage and place in brown outside garbage can.
Please leave used towels on tiled floor areas. No need to start the laundry, our cleaners will take care of it. Have a safe journey home!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please keep noise to a minimum between 10 PM - 8 AM. NO PARTIES OR LARGE GATHERINGS. Please be considerate of our neighbors and home!
No smoking/vaping, candles, incense or intense scents. No pot/drugs! No hair dye/glitter/messy projects. Pls treat like your own home!
Please no tampering with security cams, internet or pool equipment. Questions/concerns just ask! Violations may result in eviction or fines.

Claire and Mike responded to our requests and where excellent hosts. Their house was comfortable, pool was very nice, kitchen had good pots/pans and dishes for making/serving meals. Quiet residential neighborhood. Great place to go to hangout with family and enjoy warm Florida weather.

I stayed at My Happy Place for a little over a week in early April 2026. I really enjoyed my visit. I spent most of my time while at the house outdoors. The pool and lanai area were fabulous. Comfortable seating, sun loungers, large smart TV and grill were all great. The house is nicely appointed. Good linens and towels. Smart televisions in every room. Quality cookware, knives, flatware, glasses, and dishes. I would recommend this house to anyone who is considering staying in the Cape Coral area. Hello, we're Mike & Claire Magee, and we're originally from Oregon. We purchased My Happy Place so that we would have a place to live while we built our new home in Cape Coral. We really love this home and decided to keep it to use as a vacation rental and place for our own family and friends to visit.

Why they chose this property

We were looking for a place that could provide peace and relaxation. We chose our neighborhood because it is quiet, yet still close to amenities like shops and restaurants. This home had been well cared for by the previous owners and we really loved the floor plan and size. We loved the warm feeling that we got from the south-facing lanai and southern exposure of the living areas and master bedroom.

We decided that it would be more enjoyable for us and would make a better vacation rental if we added a pool, which we did in 2023. We loved the house before the pool, but I have to admit that we love it even more WITH the pool!

Our neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are nice. We are located on a residential street, not a through street. We found the neighborhood to be quiet and safe.

What makes this property unique

Our home is unique because it's not just a rental, its a home. We lived in it ourselves and have tried to make sure the home is well-equipped for an enjoyable stay. Walk in the door and you will feel like you want to stay! Our friends, family and other guests have told us how much they have enjoyed the space and location, which means a lot to us.

The home is light and bright and feels warm and comfortable with casual decor. The floor plan offers areas for togetherness as well as privacy. The pool area is like it's own outdoor room. The southern exposure maximizes the sun exposure to the deck and pool and the under-truss lanai provides lovely shade.

Though we are situated in a neighborhood, our property feels private and quiet and is a wonderful place to relax and unwind.
