Welcome to IA Cabins, formerly known as Whispering Breezes/Winds. Overlooking beautiful Lake Rathbun, IA Cabins is home to breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. Currently, we have six cabins available for nightly rental. Two of our cabins are handicap accessible with accessible bathrooms as well. Come stay a night or more! Monthly rentals will be considered on individual basis. (No Pets in cabins #1, #3, #5, and #6. Cabins #2 and #4 are pet friendly with a $50 pet fee)

All the cabins on the property appear be getting exterior renovations. Cabin #4 looked like it had recieved minor exterior repair with other places needing minor attention. Overall the cabins look solid and sturdy with great integrity. Very accommodating amenities to comfortably sleep and house the 4 of us plus our pup.The cabin essentials were in good operating condition with a back-up window AC that did a wonderful job keeping the unit cool and comfortable. The coffee pot needed a deeper clean before we used it and under the couch could use a clean sweep.Overall our stay was very enjoyable and we loved the property layout and cabin setting. We used the fire pit and solid charcoal grill both nights.Thank you so much for letting us stay and enjoy this scenic and serene, gravel get-away in Southern Iowa!

Lake trip

Quick weekend trip to the lake. Easy to get to, we were able to get early check in which was great! Peaceful and quiet environment! Would stay again!

Cute cabins!

The cabin was clean and well suited for our needs. This worked great for our group with each couple still having privacy. The only shortcoming was that due to the bedroom being very warm, we slept on the hideaway bed in the main area which was less comfortable. Communication with the host prior to our stay was quick and easy!
