This was a great rental for 3 couples. We all had plenty of room and the balconies in both the front of the house and the back were perfect for star-gazing and sunsets. We also enjoyed seeing all of the wildlife in the area. We would definitely stay there again.

We were in town for a Pickleball tournament. We loved the mountain views and managed to take 2 hikes at the Superstition Mountain Range. We braved the cold pool 3 days with a "cold plunges" after hiking and playing pickleball. The weather was perfect while we were there! Thank you.

Awesome! We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us, come back and stay again with us at the roadrunner retreat!
Gorgeous view of the Superstition Mountains. Loved being out in the country, quiet neighborhood, with lots of birds, and rabbits. Even saw a coyote. Lots of space to spread out and feel at home. Main bedroom/bath on main floor worked well for older guest with mobility issues. Upstairs 2 bedrooms and bath were perfect. Loved sitting room up for midnight book reading. Took numerous photos of sunrises and sunsets over the mountains.

Glad you enjoyed the property and the wildlife, come back and stay with us again!
The house was clean and comfortable. However some items were "allocated" for our stay and were not sufficient. When I asked about additional items (dishwasher pods for example) I was told to buy my own. When paying that much for a house, I expect dishwasher soap. We also had a plumbing issue. The issue was resolved satisfactorily. My issue lies with the treatment I received trying to report the issue. The property owner was defensive and I was questioned as if I was making up the issue. After the plumber came and fixed the issue I did not receive any compensation or even a simple "sorry for your inconvenience" (2 days down a shower). I suppose I should just be happy a plumber was called and the issue was resolved. Beautiful area, but I would stay elsewhere.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re happy to hear you found the home clean and comfortable, though we’re sorry that certain aspects of your stay didn’t meet expectations.
Regarding the dishwasher pods, we provided a dozen for your weeklong stay as part of the standard starter supplies. You mentioned that you typically run the dishwasher twice a day and acknowledged that you use more than a typical guest. When you requested delivery of three additional pods, we politely explained that guests are responsible for replenishing consumable items beyond the starter supply, as noted in our listing.
As for the plumbing issue, a licensed plumber was dispatched immediately after it was reported, and we’re glad it was resolved promptly. We regret any inconvenience and appreciate your patience while the repair was completed.
Finally, you mentioned offering a 5-star review in exchange for a discount due to the inconvenience. We want to clarify that we do not provide compensation or discounts in exchange for reviews. We believe all guest feedback should be honest and unbiased, and we value every review equally for helping us maintain transparency and fairness.
We stayed at Roadrunner Retreat for a week in January 2025. The house is extremely comfortable to live in. We’ve been in plenty of rental houses that had miscellaneous crappy furniture tossed in just to fill the empty spaces, and others that had too much of the owner's stuff lying around, but this house a perfect balance of great furnishing without having to deal with the owner's stuff. It has a wonderful living room that we enjoyed very much. The kitchen table is a big, heavy solid “southwestern” style wood table and we spent mornings and evenings there with the mountains lit up by the sun right out the big windows that fill the wall. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook our meals. The lower level bedroom was great, bed very comfortable, and the walk in closet and shower area were really nice with lots of room. We did not use the upper bedrooms but they were well furnished as well. Nice outdoor spaces and a pool that we did not use. The really quiet neighborhood that extends up toward the mountains has ranch type houses and outbuildings all around and a dirt road for the last two blocks. My wife had no qualms about staying in the house by herself one night as I was camping. Some of the neighbors would give a wave as we drove past. The owners were great, responsive, no weird requests or demands, and made sure everything went well.
