Starry Pines was the perfect VRBO pick for our stay the Black Hills! The house was very clean and well stocked with everything you need to accommodate an extended stay. We enjoyed the games, like shuffleboard and other party games, as well as the pickleball court. Jim was a great host!

This is a great place to stay with your family. We had 6 adults and 5 children ages 5 to 17. We spent a good share of our day out seeing sights and this was a great place to come back to relax and unwind. Nice hot tub and backyard for the kids to play all of the outdoor games. The host was great at communicating and giving ideas of good places to eat. I would definitely come back again if we are ever in the area.

If you are looking for a family place to stay, this is it! Everything you could possibly need as a family is located in this house and property. Jim, the owner was available at any time if we had any questions or anything at all. The kids loved the Pickleball court as we had Pickleball tournaments every night. Of course the hot tub was also a huge hit with the kids. The backyard is so serene and private. You feel like you’re there by yourself. But yet also reaches to Mount Rushmore, Sylvan Lake, Keystone, Custer Park in a short amount of time. Believe me, we will be back and this is the place to rent!

Another great stay!

This was our second year back to Starry Pines and it didn’t disappoint. Jim is a great host. The property is in a nice location that fits our interests and needs. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone with a larger group.

Great place for family trip

This place was awesome! Jim was very friendly. He has everything you could think of and it’s all very organized and clean. My kids had a blast on the pickleball courts, lounging in the hot tub and making s’mores at night. Would recommend this place to anyone!!

Jim was an awesome host and we loved the property! His communication and attention to detail was impeccable. The property was clean, spacious, and provided so many amenities. It was centrally located to many attractions we visited, including Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Also, close to Hill City's main street which offered a variety of restaurants and shops. I highly recommend this property and will stay there again on our next visit to the area.
