With two private bedrooms, a loft, bunk room and three full baths, there's room for the whole family to make lake memories together.



The Space:

Welcome to the Big Cabin at Hogscald Cove



Come make some old-fashioned lake memories in one of the original homesteads of Hogscald Cove.



This nostalgic Beaver Lake cabin has been renovated for today's guests while preserving the character and charm that make it special. You'll have direct access to the lake from a trail in the yard, plus kayaks, paddleboards and life vests to help you enjoy the water.



Spend your days swimming, fishing and exploring the coves, then come back to the cabin for dinner, a fire and an evening under the stars.



And when you're ready to explore beyond the lake, downtown Eureka Springs is only about 18 minutes away.



THE CABIN



This is a true Ozark lake cabin—not a cookie-cutter vacation rental.



The cabin offers a comfortable gathering space, fully equipped kitchen, large outdoor areas and three full bathrooms, giving families and groups plenty of room to spend time together.



The original character of the home has been preserved while adding the conveniences you want for a comfortable getaway.

The cabin can accommodate up to 12 guests.



Please note: The loft and bunk room are open/shared sleeping spaces rather than enclosed private bedrooms. This layout works especially well for families and groups traveling together.



THE LAKE

The lake is one of the best parts of staying here.



A trail leads directly from the property to the Beaver Lake shoreline, where you can swim, fish and enjoy the quiet cove.

The water level and shoreline conditions can change throughout the year, so please expect a natural Ozark lake setting rather than a paved or resort-style waterfront.



Pet Friendly – Approval required before booking. $50/pet/stay (2 pets maximum/90 lbs or less) Must be crated or kenneled if left unattended and must be on a current veterinarian approved flea & tick treatment.

The gas fire pit is the perfect place to gather after a day on the lake.



A LITTLE EXTRA ADVENTURE

When wet weather arrives, the Ozarks come alive.

The area around Hogscald Cove has several seasonal waterfalls and beautiful coves to explore. Depending on lake and weather conditions, your kayaks and paddleboards can turn a rainy-season weekend into your own self-guided Ozark waterfall adventure.



The Neighborhood:

The house is surrounded by outdoor fun and lake access. Every season is magical on the lake. Spring is beautiful, with its dogwood and redbud trees in full bloom.  Summer provides incredible weather for boating, fishing, and sunbathing. Fall brings colors that provide an amazing backdrop for the cabin! You can cuddle up to the fireplace and watch the many eagles that call Beaver Lake home in the winter.



The cabin is approximately 15 miles from Eureka Springs and about an 22-minute drive from downtown.



That gives you an easy combination of two very different experiences:

You can spend the entire day on Beaver Lake and wind down in your own kitchen—or head into town for shopping, galleries, live music, dinner and come back to your peaceful cabin afterward.



Getting Around:

The drive to Hogscald Hollow is incredibly scenic.  This drive is safe for nearly any vehicle, although, we discourage low riding sports cars.  We highly discourage motorcycles, although, a skilled/seasoned rider can navigate the dirt road.  You will see dramatic bluffs and cross over a very shallow stream to get to this beautiful destination.



The road to the cabin crosses over two wet weather creeks. We highly recommend an SUV or higher clearance vehicle. In inclement weather, you will need four-wheel drive.



Other Things to Note:

To ensure safety and security, video cameras are installed on the exterior of the premises . These cameras monitor areas that could be accessed by the public. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out with questions.
