Honestly the cabin was even cuter in person. The view of the lake was fantastic. Highly recommend spring time, the weather was warm enough but with a nice breeze to feel comfortable at all times. Fully stocked kitchen, pleasantly surprised to see there was already coffee and creamer waiting for me.

Thank you so much for the kind words, Catherine! We love hearing when Shady Pines feels even better in person. The lake views in the spring really are something special, especially with those cool Ozark breezes drifting through the trees. 🌲
We’re also glad you enjoyed the stocked kitchen and little coffee setup. There’s something deeply comforting about not having to immediately hunt down caffeine like a woodland raccoon on a mission. ☕️
Thanks again for staying with us, and we’d love to host you back at Shady Pines anytime!
Cabin was very cozy! The Host was great and very responsive. Well stocked and very clean.

Very clean and comfortable home! We really enjoyed how quiet the area was. The only thing we would add to the inside of the house are hooks for towels/clothes.

Thank you so much for the kind words! We’re so glad you enjoyed the quiet surroundings and found the cabin clean and comfortable. That peaceful lake hush is one of our favorite features too.We really appreciate the suggestion about hooks. There are actually hooks located behind the door in the bathroom. We’ll take a look at how we can make them more visible for future guests. Thanks again for staying with us. We’d love to host you back for another quiet getaway anytime!
The family had such a good time relaxing out on the back patio looking at the lake with the geese and playing board games inside. Highly recommend this stay to anyone who is wanting a place to stay in the eureka springs area. Dana was extremely communicative and responded quickly whenever we had questions. Excellent host!!

Nice house, great location
We really enjoyed the house. The location was perfect; easy to get into town but quiet and right on the lake. It was cozy, nicely furnished, and the kitchen was well stocked with nice utensils and pots and pans. Our only issue was that the twin beds were not very comfortable. Overall it was a good experience, though, and we would happily stay there again.

We sincerely appreciate your thoughtful feedback and kind words! It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the house, the location, and the kitchen’s features. We also value your note regarding the twin beds and will explore adjustments to enhance comfort. For clarification, the firepit is a shared amenity, located just a brief walk from the house near the gazebo by the lake. We’ll be updating the listing to make this clearer for future guests. Thank you again for choosing to stay with us. We would be delighted to welcome you back anytime!
I was very pleased this rental was as advertised. The hosts were very thoughtful with all the comforts of home. They kept in contact with me throughout the process of checking in & answered any questions. It was very nice & would highly recommend.

The property was perfect for the 6 of us that were visiting for the weekend to go see The Great Passion Play. The decor wasn't our style but the place was nice and clean. We really enjoyed hanging out on the deck and doing a little fishing in the lake. We misunderstood that the firepit and gazebo weren't on our actual property shared by the other house so we never made it down to it. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would visit again.
The cabin was very clean. We lost power, which was due to a storm. No flashlights in the home.I needed a potato peeler at one point. One of the burners on the stove didn't work, (back left). No place to hang towels in the bathroom. It was quiet and beautiful.

From the owner: Thank you for your helpful feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed the cabin’s peaceful setting and cleanliness. The recent power outage was due to a storm, and we’ll be adding a few extra flashlights around the home for convenience. I’ll also double-check the stove burner and ensure towel hooks are easy to locate. I appreciate your comments and hope to welcome you back soon.
What a gem! I took my mom to Eureka Springs as a 70th birthday present and we stayed for 3 nights. This property was so close to town but felt a million miles away. The setting on a peaceful quiet little lake with 3 different patios overlooking the water was so serene, whether drinking coffee in the morning, having dinner, or a night cap listening to the frogs. Clean, adorable, fun art, and the extras like shampoo and conditioner, cooking spices, and an iron that you don't always get at a rental property. Good communication and instructions from the owners. Would give more stars if I could - it exceeded my expectations at a very good price point
Cabin was cute, the downstairs bathroom was a little crowded since you can’t even open the door all the way, anyone handicapped to a wheelchair or unable to walk would have a hard time using the bathroom. Wish the water or lake was able to be swam in or fished in. I know the water legacies of eureka springs but the kids thought they were going to get to swim and the husband thought he was gonna get to fish so they were all bummed about that. The long tall window in the living room needs a way to cover it because you can’t sit and talk to anyone or sit on the couch without being blinded by the sun. Other than those things it was great.

Thank you for your feedback—we’re so glad you found the cabin cute and enjoyed your overall stay! We appreciate you calling out a few of these items. The downstairs bathroom is definitely a more compact space. Many cabins and homes in this area have a bit of that “quirky charm” in their layouts— it’s also why we don’t advertise as accessible. That said, we completely understand your observation. I also wanted to clarify for future guests that the lake can be used for fishing, and there are kayaks available on the property along with life vests and paddles. While it’s not ideal for swimming, many guests enjoy getting out on the water this way—even in those colder winter months. As for the tall living room window, that’s actually one of our favorite features of the cabin. We’ve intentionally kept it open to showcase the natural surroundings — it’s like the outdoors decided to hang out inside for a bit. We truly appreciate your feedback.
