Charming old home close to downtown. We used it for a base for our team as we sponsored a local festival. Beautfiul interior, although the old boards creaked loudly so moving around at night might wake up others. The host was very responsive and accomodating. We'd stay here again.
If you love historic homes that offer a feel of luxury this home is perfect for you. We had a fantastic time staying here. The home is well appointed and is conveniently located to many places for entertainment and eating. The host was very responsive and pleasant to deal with. I cannot recommend this location more.
Our second time staying here and it looks to be turning into an annual outing. Can't wait to rent this slightly quirky but amazing house for a third time!
This house is large, has lots of sitting areas, and is well equipped. It's centrally located between the downtown area with tons of restaurants, etc and the Grandin Village. Priced right as well.
Great stay for a friends mountain bike weekend in Roanoke!
Very unique and historic property. Nicely renovated and plenty of on street parking. Access to basement for safe storage of bikes was a welcome feature. Would definitely book this property again in the future!

Beautiful home, tough neighborhood
This historic home has been beautifully preserved and we constantly marveled at how neat it was. Some nice modern refreshments (AC, bathrooms, Laundry, TVs, wifi). Beds were fantastic and everything was very clean. The neighborhood is pretty sketchy, so the private/secured parking was a big plus. That said, don't expect many neighborhood restaurants or amentities, the only grocery within miles is basically a vape shop with some packaged foods and energy drinks. The property managers also could be a bit better--the first thing we saw when we arrived was overflowing trash cans from previous renters that animals were tearing into/through the bags. We specifically asked if the upper floor had AC and were assured it did (It does not, it was a pure sauna up there). Also could use some more kitchen items, there wasn't a single steak knife/paring knife for example. The only knife in the entire kitchen was a dull chef's knife, which we all had to share as we ate--awkward.
Our previously reserved Roanoke accommodations were cancelled due to the sale of the property, so we were in a mad search for another place to stay for our girls' weekend. Sarah's listing was new and had no reviews, but the photos were great and the house if close to all of the downtown and surrounding sites, so we took a chance. It paid off. The place was huge! We had a great time; the beds were comfortable; and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Thanks!

Girls Getaway
The location was good and near many of activities during our visit. There was plenty of room for hanging out and we enjoyed the front porch; more comfortable seating would have optimized the experience. The beds were comfortable and sheets so soft! The home itself didn’t really fall short. Mixed communication did, though. The listing noted 3 bathrooms but only had 2.5 baths rather than 3 full. The listing also noted a hot tub. We never found it; good thing bathing suits don't take up much room in our suitcases! Despite this we still enjoyed our stay, and the house was clean. In line with communication issues: we attempted to get information on the coffee brewing system to know what to bring but never got a response after 3 attempts. I messaged Sunday morning that the kitchen sink was leaking; never got a response on that. Arrival information that was expected 3 days before our arrival was sent the day before. Additionally, I am accustomed to receiving an entry code the day prior but found myself having to reach out just a few hours prior to checking in for the code. Between no response on the coffee system and then not getting the arrival information when expected caused some slight concern. My takeaway would be that the house is uniquely quirky and fun, but the listing needs to be updated to reflect the property more accurately and there is much room for communication improvement.

The outside is not maintained very well and there is no hot tub as advertised. Guests should be aware to bring shampoo and soap and the one ply toilet paper was useless. No wine opener, I left one.The inside downstairs is beautiful and decorated beautifully but the other floors had little air flow and it felt like there was a very heavy “energy” present.
