The property is in a great location, close enough to downtown, but far enough out, to enjoy the countryside of the Galena Territories. The house is very pretty, and clean, just as depicted in the pictures. It sits on a nicely wooded lot, with a great balcony/deck off the main level. A screened-in porch provided a make-shift office for one of us that had to bring work along. The lower level boasts another outdoor area, with a beautiful, clean, hot tub. Both the number of bedrooms, and bathrooms were perfect for our sibling and spouse vacation of eight. Perfect plus that it's a pet-friendly property. The kitchen was well stocked. A couple of minor issues were brought to the owner's attention, and I'm sure, taken care of promptly. Very easy to work with. The pricing was just right. Fall is a special time in Galena, the trees were in full blown color, and the green rolling hills accentuated their grandeur. The one issue, was that the road was being paved on our second day, and we were trapped in the house for a number of hours. We didn't really mind too much :) We will be back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Took sons & their families for galena fall fest &some golf. Super large space with seating in family room & dining table for all 8 of us. Bedrooms are all ensuite so all had private spaces. Everything worked good found plenty of dishes & kitchen needs. Pretty clean, wood floors could use a deep clean since I noticed our bottom of socks got very dirty from walking around inside. Beds very comfortable & each room had a tv. We had no pets but one could smell dog scent a bit. Weirdly we had so many ladybugs getting in from the patio door we taped up the openings we found & also notified lots of honeybees swarming on deck so outside was not used. Very quiet & secluded street. We had 3 suvs which took up any room on short gravel driveway. We enjoyed galena territory & landscape is beautiful lots of trails to stroll & sites to admire. Our 5th family trip there & we loved it

We didn’t spend much time there at all during the day, as we hung out at our bigger rental house, but it was great for extra bedrooms (with en-suites) for guests to retreat to at night for some quiet sleep. The home was clean and on a beautiful wooded lot. We wouldn’t hesitate to book this again if we had a smaller group or needed extra space.

Great location for winter stay

Plenty of room and nice warm options for our ski trip with fireplace and hot tub. Loved the number of bathrooms for each room and it would be a great option for couples traveling together! The kitchen table has loose leafs which needs repair, but had a lovely stay.

Thanksgiving family getaway
