Find a true escape in the luxe comfort of this lake-view condo! This nicely furnished home away from home enjoys an unbeatable location at The Homestead in the picturesque town of Glen Arbor. You will find restaurants year-round and skiing in the winter. You are mere steps from a wonderful private beach and near Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Glen Arbor has really nice pickleball and tennis courts. There is also fishing from the beach or chartered fishing, and the Crystal River has fantastic kayaking really close to South Beach.

Upon entering, you will encounter an open floor plan with lovely furniture, flawless carpet, and unobstructed views. Spread out comfortably in the inviting living area as you stream a favorite movie or show on the smart TV if you are visiting during the winter months, the wood-burning fireplace will keep you nice and warm. The kitchen has been redone and offers stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Attached to the living area is a covered deck where you can lounge and delight yourself with spectacular sunsets, looking at
North and South Manitou islands. Additional perks include board games and an on-site washer/dryer.

Beautiful Place!

This condo is beautifully appointed and very comfortable! The beds and bedding were super comfortable as well. The beach chairs were also a huge help. The kitchen is well-stocked and even included a mixer. The views are simply spectacular from the deck and the proximity to the private beach is unbeatable. We will definitely be back!

This condo was comfortable for 2 couples and was as described in the listing. We enjoyed having the beach accessible for walks and a deck for stargazing. A clogged bathroom sink was the only disappointment.

Perfection!

We spent 3 nights in this beautiful condo and would happily have stayed longer if we had the time. The location is terrific, with direct access to the beach and lake, and an easy 3 minute drive into Glen Arbor. We loved the views out to the Manitou islands from the unit. It was very cosy and comfortable for 4 of us during our stay.

My husband and I stayed at this cute condo with an amazing view of Lake Michigan, Sleeping Bear Bay for two nights in early September. Aside from the fruit fly invasion (apparently common this time of year in northern Michigan) we loved the space! We’ve been coming to Glen Arbor for years and loved being so close to town. The South Beach condos had amazing grounds including access to a beautiful private beach, partial sunset view from the balcony, amazing wooded Crystal River walk and we were able to check in almost an hour early. We will definitely stay again in the future if available.

Nice property but filthy carpeting

The views are spectacular, but the carpet was absolutely filthy. It looked likes previous tenants walked in mud and tracked it in, there were numerous stains in all of the rooms. This led us to question the level of cleanliness in the entire condo.

Relaxing with a beautiful view

Very nice condo within the Homestead. Wish we could have stayed longer. Never received check-out instructions so had to call to ask. Told us to start the laundry so if cleaning crew doesn't come in for a day or so, there will be wet laundry still in the machine. Also did not ask us to take out the trash.

Amazing View and Beach Access

This property is a second-floor condo unit with a wood balcony overlooking a green expanse with the lake and beach beyond. It was perfect for 2 people and maybe ok for a family or 4 close friends. Lots of windows to allow lake breezes. The unit is not air conditioned and warms up fast in the afternoon. There was a fan provided as well as ceiling fans in bedrooms. We did not have to contend with hot temperatures except for the first day, but I don't think it would be comfortable during a hot spell. With the windows open you hear voices and people noise from throughout the entire complex. This can be charming or annoying depending. We were just ahead of high season and found it to be pleasant and enjoyable. The unit is cozy and adequately furnished. The location is excellent, with quick beach access and short drive into town. The rental provides no local information or recommendations, and I had to text to inquire about check out instructions, which were then provided. I recommend for the peaceful setting, the beach and the location.

Glen Arbor Condo

We had a nice stay, even though the weather was not always ideal. It's a great location close to the beach and overlooking the water. Our condo was nice, and it had all and more than we needed. My note is that their were spots on the outside of the condo where it appeared run down. The most prominent being that there were several areas missing siding. To be fair, there was a construction crew working here and there while we stayed, but I didn't see them working on those areas. We also found two stray nails on the walkway that connected to the walk to the beach. It just got the sense that the area had seen better days. We talked to one resident who lives their long-term, and she seemed a little miffed that, as renters, the beach wasn't explained to us (we used her beach umbrella without realizing it was private). It was good to visit. I expect this is a beautiful stay deeper into the summer.

Dirty, cluttered, and not as pictured

We arrived past check in time to a dirty condo (hair in showers, debris and sand on floor, dirties not removed) and to clutter everywhere (blankets heaped on the floor in the closets, fake plants everywhere, excessive decor). The vacuum was broken and the cleaning crew didn’t have any spare to help get the place in shape nor did they offer to further “clean” our unit. The master bedroom had PAPER blinds that did not hold up with the clips they had, the master bedroom’s fan clicked as it circulated (mind you these units have no air) so sleeping proved difficult. The carpet was stained throughout the entire unit, the WiFi went out multiple times per day forcing us to use our hotspots, the kitchen had no storage and every drawer was full to the brim, the showers and sinks were clogged in both bathrooms and the tub would fill 6 inches while you showered, lamp shades were broken or crooked, the photo above the fireplace had no reinforcement so it kept flapping in the wind, the couch had stains…. The only plus side was they had a commercial washer and dryer, the unit had a great cross breeze, and it had a great view. We’ve been coming to this area for the past 30 years and this was by far our most outdated, unkempt rental.
